Chris Beaty, a former Indiana University football player, was shot and killed on the street in downtown Indianapolis this weekend during one of the riots happening in cities around the country in response to the death of George Floyd. Beaty, 38, played for the Hoosiers from 2000-04 and remained actively involved in the program and the community as a mentor for players and a local businessman. He managed nightclubs, founded Fresh Marketing LLC for event planning and recently helped launch Worldwide Masks, which sells face masks for protection during the coronavirus pandemic, according to multiple reports.

A former NFL Football player from Indiana tried to talk down the rioters one of the rioters pulled out a gun and shot him dead on the spot, then his dead body got trampled on.
To have a “national conversation on race relations”, the left needs to be prepared to answer a lot of hard questions.
They won’t answer any hard questions. This man tried asking and they killed him and abused his corpse on the spot.
Chris was a top-notch young man whom I knew well. Such a senseless tragedy.

How many innocent blacks have to die to riots over a guy who resisted arrest?
The news stories (so far) are remarkably unhelpful. The shooting apparently occurred around midnight. Cam Cameron, a former Hoosier player and coach, was quoted in one story as saying that Beaty was returning home after escorting someone else home to ensure that they got there safely. No details are given in any story I’ve seen about how the incident occurred. It’s not even clear that it was connected in any way with the demonstrations/rioting. For all we know, it could have been a random stickup gone bad.
That's the nature of a spirit of suspicion. If I knew the "why", my spidey senses wouldn't be tingling. Just something about the whole thing. He makes corona masks, he gets killed in a protest. What are the odds?
No doubt that the FBI is in hot pursuit of the white supremacist group that did this.
