Steal away...
So the rest of us will pay higher prices to subsidize the theft by others.
Black people don't steal.
Walmart would be better off not selling items that are easily stolen and end up on the negative side of the ledger.
They’ll just “Roll Up” the prices on the stuff white folks buy to cover the loss
The inevitable result of the welfare state. Trained criminals.
Just stop carrying it.
The black olives are in a can. The green olives are in a jar! Why they keepin’ the black olives locked up?
Is arresting a black thief “racist”?
Extend the logic — if we are going to not do anything about people who have a propensity to steal, then what’s the point of having security systems, fences, and security guards. Just switch to an honor system where you pay what you think is a fair price.
The article I saw said they were only doing this at a dozen stores.
I once saw a Walmart employee stocking the liquor shelves. She placed high end stuff like Chevis or Johnny Walker in locked cabinets with a glass front. Then I saw her put EJ Brandy, the cheapest liquor, in a locked cabinet. I asked hey why she locks EJ. She said the “EJ walks”. Then I understood .
Seems to me these products are just for one culture.
They’ll just stop selling them.
So the rest of us will pay higher prices to subsidize the theft by others.

Yes, on top of rapidly rising food prices. Have you been to the grocery store lately?
Walmart is saying they are willing to accept theft losses on these products
in return for pacifying BLM.
And they know the theft loses will be high.
In certain neighborhoods?
Both the Walgreens and the small Walmart grocery near my job lock up many of the health and beauty products. The Walgreens even locks up the $2 Suave shampoo type products. I am anxious to see whether they change their procedures. It is a fairly mixed neighborhood area.
