It is the mistake of local politicians to think that FREE MONEY has no cost.
Lets go back to punch card ballots, cheap, safe, easy.
“touch screen”
everything should be paper ballot.

Thats why theyre not used anymore.

Oh yeah, this election is going to be very interesting...
Paper ballots only. Show I.D.
No, two demoncrat run counties, Fulton and Dekalb, ran into problems as they have for each and every past election.
The Democrats decided to do mail-in voting this time around. so far, looks like less than 29% participation. Yeah.
Follow the money. Follow the political patronage that controls HAVA and HAVA money and lets contracts based on deep state criteria... even if that means people who know no more about US elections than you and I know about elections in Bangalore.
I don’t know why we keep trying to re-invent the stupid voting machines.
In Virginia, we have paper ballots, you mark them, then you feed them into the machine, it tells you they were read, and you are done. The only thing I dislike is that our current machines don’t have a way to put on screen what you voted for — I’d love to see confirmation that it read my ballot correctly.
But this gives us a paper trail (the ballots are collected in the machine), and an electronic reporting, and you don’t have the problem of an electronic touchscreen selecting the wrong candidate when you touch it.
Yes, given the problems with printers, starting with a touch screen, just to print a ballot someone could have marked with a pen, seems an unncessary complication.
I do not at all like electronic voting machines. One cannot know what the machine is registering even as it shows on the screen that it is registering your vote the way you put it in.
The Democrats are always fiddling with the machines to get the votes “correct”
which, of course, is not to say the machines register what has actually been entered by each voter. Keep fiddling and you enter errors in the process which often show up as errors so you are having “problems.”
Same in Florida. No matter what the machines actually register the paper ballots are there. I think the paper ballots are what should be counted and the machines used as confirmation in the event of cheating accusations or recounts.
The new Georgia voting machines are a complete waste of money.
Each machine requires it’s own printer and printers out a complete piece of paper for each voter. They could condense the size and find a cheaper way to complete the process.
After you vote, you are allowed to carry your piece of paper to the voting tally machine. You could copy the QR code and find the pattern to replicate votes without anyone being the wiser.
I could go on and give other details, but someone REALLY needs to look at the current process. It has more holes than every slice of Swiss cheese in the universe.
We have to show ID in GA. After you vote you get a paper printout of your selections. At the end of the line you put it in a machine that looks like a shredder.

Same thing in our (Howard)Maryland county. Its simple and easy to validate/audit/recount.
“One cannot know what the machine is registering even as it shows on the screen that it is registering your vote the way you put it in.”
Oh yes you can. It is registering democrat.
South Carolina (Beaufort County) is the best Ive seen. You tap screen, then it PRINTS a paper ballot that you can see/check/touch then you put it in a slot that reads it. That save the paper ballots in case of a problem.
