Mandingo, now there was a great movie. I still have it on vhs somewhere. I guarantee you that film will never again see the light of day. Makes Gone with the Wind look like an anti-slavery film. Ken Norton was the main Mandingo.

Not surprised but doesn’t make much sense. Mammy was the only sensible person on the screen sometimes so it wasn’t making black people look bad.
Scarlett on the other hand was a train wreck.
It actually is kind of anti slavery.
I don’t think Butterfly McQueen won...Hattie McDaniel did. But McQueen was fantastic.
