For white people who have just recently recognized their own complicity in America's racist systems and are looking to "fix" that — it's not going to happen overnight.
"It's a little bit like saying 'I want to be in shape tomorrow' ..." says author Robin DiAngelo. "This is going to be a process."
DiAngelo is the author of White Fragility: Why It's So Hard for White People to Talk About Racism. The book came out in 2018, and is back on the best-seller lists as streets fill with protesters calling for an end to police violence against black people.
The status quo in the United States is racism, DiAngelo says, and "it is comfortable for me, as a white person, to live in a racist society."
DiAngelo says to sustain the momentum of these protests, it must become uncomfortable for white people to continue to benefit from racist systems.
"We've got to start making it uncomfortable and figuring out what supports we're going to put in place to help us continue to be uncomfortable," she says. "Because the forces of comfort are quite seductive."
This [work] will be lifelong: really thinking deeply about what it means to be white, how your race shapes your life. We live in a society that turns race over to people of color. They have a race. We're just people. And so we see ourselves as outside of race. And that's problematic for many reasons. But there's so much potentially rich insight that we can gain from deeply reflecting on our own racial experiences.
Nice, white people who really aren't doing anything other than being nice people are racist. We are complicit with that system. There is no neutral place.

In the 2020 election, one third of eligible voters will be non-white.
Since 1980, non-whites have voted at least 75% Democrat in EVERY presidential election.
Trump got 57% of the white vote in 2016.
Trump will need at least 60% of the white vote in 2020 to be competitive - because almost no Democrats will throw away their votes on Third Parties, like they did in 2016.
If there is huge Democrat turn out in 2020 - and I believe there will be - Trump will need at least 62% of the white vote to be competitive.
The last Republican to get even 60% of the white vote was George H.W. Bush - in 1988.
There will not be a Trump landslide in 2020.
If Trump wins reelection, he will have the same razor thin margins in WI, MI, and PA that he had in 2016.

I got his email from the makers of a fitness product called Powerhandz essentially saying if you are not anti-racist-you are racist. Ok literally except the way many define that.
I found amusing that they are writing about themselves but say “POWERHANDZ was founded by 2 brilliant black people” brilliant? their writing isn’t as bad as many but never addresse the huge amount of black racism-guess that would be too much-

As I listened to George Floyd take his final breaths of life, he cried out PLEASE, 14 times. I don’t believe his plea was just for the officer to remove his knee off his neck-—his cry was for America to remove its knee and stop suffocating from racism, stereotypes, inequalities and overall injustices.
George, your last breath restored our voice.
Each of our communities have contributed to this continuous cycle of racial inequalities. There is NO in between or a BUT.
Either you are anti-racist or you are racist.
Either you embrace your teammate as your brother or sister or you don’t.
Either you deal with your stereotypes that create racist judgements or you don’t.
Either you are deliberate in educating your children about inclusion and equality or you don’t.
