In a remarkable soliloquy, Shelby Steele dominated his interview with Mark Levin with an excoriation of the riots and looting that have taken place over the past couple of weeks. Steele, an African-American veteran of the civil rights movement of the 1960s and a best-selling author, appeared on the June 7 episode of Life, Liberty, and Levin to say the protesters have nothing new to say, and that blacks have never been less oppressed in American society.
Steele fully rejects the concept of systemic racism. Steele held court for the first eight minutes and fifty seconds of the program, and Levin sat back and let him drop truth bomb after truth bomb. Steele flat out said blacks have never faced less oppression, and that they need to take responsibility for their position at the bottom of most socioeconomic measures.
This is must-watch TV.

Heres the most eye-opening truth bomb Steele dropped for Mark Levin:
Society is responsible for us, because racism is so systemic. Well, thats a corruption, and I know its a corruption, because the truth of the matter is blacks have never been less oppressed than they are today. Opportunity is around every corner. In all of this, no one ever stops to say, well, youre unhappy with where minorities are at in American life, and blacks continue to be at the bottom of most socioeconomic measures. Youre unhappy about that. Well, why dont you take some responsibility for that? Why dont you take more responsibility? I would be happy to look at all the usual bad guys, the police and so forth, if we had the nerve, the courage to look at black people. To look at black Americans, minority Americans, and say, youre not carrying your own weight.
hes 1000% correct
the blacks will be unhappy forever because they actually docrralize their situations are largely their own doing, or not-doing
and they don’t want to take responsibility for it
so they project their own anger they have at themselves and their “community” and throw it at a fake Goldstein to blame it on, “whitey”
Systemic racism festers in entrenched Democrat strongholds. It’s been ruinous to several generations.

Personal responsibility is hard. It’s totally lacking in the black community.
and i use the term “community” in the most extreme lax sense of the word
they can’t even create a stable basic family unit anymore, and frankly, most don’t even want to, they rut around like animals without any sense of personal responsibility
and everyone is told “they are just like us and want the same things”
it’s a total load of crap
other people actually put in the hard work to work for “those things”, not lip service and entitled chips on their shoulders
Its either I am a black American, or,
Woe iz I.
Of course he’s right. If modern systemic racism explained the socioeconomic problems of blacks, then West African immigrants would also be poor. But they are wealthier and better-educated than the average American.
This is because they don’t subscribe to the victim culture that has unfortunately been sold to the descendants of slaves.
This has nothing to do with race. All you need to do is travel to the southern Appalachians where I was born and you’ll find that much of the white population there has embraced the same sort of victim-hood and has many of the exact same problems as inner-city blacks.
I can’t be the only person to think...can you imagine Hannity allowing such a thing?
The wife and I watched Levin’s program Sunday night. Shelby Steele and Bob Woodson. Great show.
And Levin doesn’t interrupt or talk over his guest.
You mean like letting anyone else talk?
Exactly.
Good on him. Ping for usage against these sanctimonious Snowflakes on FB.
Not only are they not oppressed, but things have turned 180 Degrees to make them the most entitled group (particularly black youth) in America. The highest priority of our culture in recent years has become to prevent blacks from suffering from any inferiority complexes.
If its not a one sentence slogan, Hannity is not interested.
I am not a product of my circumstances. I am a product of my decisions.” - Stephen Covey
Will this be one of the few men with backbone who hasn’t apologized and groveled and washed some feet by tomorrow? I have faith that he has the spine of Steele.

On top of all the lack of personal responsibility and bad behavior they blabber on about how they are the real inventors of ....everything, and were the Italians and Egyptians and everything was stolen from them.
More lies from white elites in the indoctrination..erm education to puff up “self esteem”
I hope it replays...
From freeper Bob434
the numbers were:
Unarmed Black people killed by police = 9
(all but two were justifiable self defense by the police- son in reality, only 2 unarmed black men were killed unjustifiably by police)
White unarmed people killed by police = 19
Police killed be perps last year of all races = 54 (I believe it was)
