Yes, it’s extremely disturbing and we can’t avoid a confrontation. The difficult thing is so many in LE, our government and the media are either fooled by this or complicit. Seems that the screams of “racist” are largely working to shut up any defense against communism.

How would simply being a resident of Minneapolis give you any accurate sense of whether something like this was preplanned or not? Are you under the impression that any planning of this type would have to be visible from your front window?

Because I live in the area, I know who lives here, and I know the recent history of Black Community/MPD relations going back to the 90's. Hell, my girlfriend lives a block off of 38th and Chicago, so I've had a front row seat.

The idea that this was some sort of plan is pretty farfetched. What I see is a confluence of groups coming together in the aftermath of George Floyd's death, and a lot of them don't really run in the same circles. Anarchists, Gangsters, and Black Panthers might have some overlapping ideological similarities but they don't hang out or plan things together.

Also a lot of the groups don't have an overarching structure in the way that the police or the NRA or whatever does. Anarchists/Antifa are both more ideologies than they are organized groups and say that this or that person is the leader of either is pretty nonsensical; they tend to coalesce and break up in response to events. Gangsters are broken up by blocks and streets and membership gets pretty amorphous. The vast majority of the rest of the rioters were angry kids who wanted to punch cops.

I just don't find the idea that anyone bringing this all of these very different groups together as part of a larger plan is feasible. It's too complex and it would leave traces that are pretty obvious.

That is not true at all. Antifa is a very organized group. They are, in fact, international. A lot of their participants may be idiots who just jump on the bandwagon when the time comes, but the ones who give the word are very much members of an organized group and are apparently well-funded.

As for your local miscreants - gangs, black panthers, whatever - they might just be jumping in on the action because why not take advantage of a good looting and pillaging opportunity. But the ones that instigated this BS are not local street thug aholes.

Antifa is amorphus and non-hierarchical, with membership growing and shrinking depending on politics. Internationally there are people who claim to be a part of the movement, but you'll never find a membership roster or meeting minutes or anything like that. There are sub-groups like Rose City which are a little more organized, but they're rarities. And even those groups are less traditionally organized than a boyscout troop.

There are people who showed up from out of town but that whole "80% or arrestees are out-of-towners" is bull. Arrest logs show that most of the people picked up at the riots had Minneapolis addresses, and a lot of the rest of them were from close by. A big contingent from the Red Lake Reservation came down, and some of them got arrested. If there was a cadre of organizers, then I didn't see any evidence of it.

They don't claim to be part of the movement - they are the directors of the movement. If they say "go riot!" then the word goes out to the local chapters and they go riot. It really is that simple. I have no doubt that the dummies who populate the antifa riots WANT to believe it is some organic, non-hierarchical, grass-roots movement where the brave communists ride in on unicorns, but they are simply serving at the whim of a larger organization which, in turn, takes its marching orders from even higher up.
