Criminalizing the use of force to restrain suspects would hamstring the police and cost many lives, including many black lives. As if the leftists give a damn.

Honest cops were in peril the day that murderer was hired

They’re overcharging and he’s going to be exonerated with double jeopardy immunity. Then they’ll burn down the city and blame trump.

I know this game.

Keith Ellison did this on purpose so there would be riots when they’re acquitted.

Ellis wants to extend these trials as long as possible to keep the hoodlums rioting for as long as possible

Chauvin and Floyd worked together daily as security at a small club for many years. Employees say they all knew everyone by their first name.

This really seems like the 2 (maybe 5) were involved in something bad and Floyd had to be taken out.

Who in their right mind would ever become a cop under these circumstances?

Not to get off topic, but did I hear Rush correctly today when he said Los Angeles “voted to defund the police”?? They can’t be serious. That’s suicide, are they nuts? Are they into having riots and looting every day?

I’d defend this new charge on the basis that Floyd contributed to his own death by fighting with the cops for some time, was very high on fentanyl and meth, and was positive for Covid-19.

Please note, people:
"The amended complaint against Chauvin also re-alleges the two homicide charges originally filed last week: third-degree “depraved indifference” murder and second-degree manslaughter"
He can be acquitted of the second degree "felony murder", and still found guilty of second-degree manslaughter, AND third-degree “depraved indifference” murder.

Duh... AG Ellison doesn’t WANT to win this case. He wants the cops to go free so the riots will continue through the election. He didn’t bump up to 2nd degree thinking the probability of conviction was higher. He bumped up knowing the probability of an acquittal or hung jury was higher!

Never let a good crisis go to waste!

Police all over the country restrain suspects hundreds or thousands of times every day. They manage to do it and still deliver their suspect to the police station alive and kicking. As long as they follow departmental guidelines while applying restraints they should have nothing to be afraid of. Intentionally violate those guidelines and bad things can happen. Including being charged with murder and facing a long time in jail.

Listeniing to the mob, they are going to elevate the charges beyond what they can prove. then we really will have a mess.

Applying any of the "Choker Holds," where you cut off one or both carotid arteries absolutely should not be allowed. You can render a person unconscious in about 30 seconds and in some cases kill him in a minute.

Eight minutes? He was trying to kill him. Or send Floyd's IQ down to rutabaga territory.

They knew each other. Probably hated each other, and this killing stems from that. imho

Outlaw the choker hold and all its variants. There are literally hundreds of other effective holds and restraints police can use that aren't as lethal.

......... Because they chose the harder to prove charge ...... The not guilty verdict will come out a month or so before the election ... That’s when the new riots will begin.

They are not going to have to prove anything.

Any jury would be too scared not to convict.

Just show up, show all the videos and say the prosecution rests.

A man was in police custody and was having an acknowledged medical crisis and died. All that is needed to be proved is that the cops were negligent in providing proper care.

Abuse is a side issue. Negligence will be the deciding factor.

The man died while the cops did nothing. They could have sat him up and tried to calm him. They may have even had oxygen in their trunks of their cars. They could have done just about anything but pin him to the ground during a breathing issue. They also continued their pinning of him even after signs that he had passed out or died.

Negligence. That is that is going to hang these cops.

At least one of them is guilty of *something* but *none* of them are guilty of anything *remotely* resembling what they're being charged with by that moslem Antifa supporter.

Here are some old guys teaching it.

Choker Hold

Notice he says, "After he goes limp, let him go. Because he will die."

ANY responsible martial arts class where they teach this hold will stress that fact. IT'S DANGEROUS. Don't horse around with it. You can kill someone very easily. The old guy in this video says death in 25 seconds. It's been a long time, but I recall one minute.

The point is, they always teach students of the extreme danger. I knew of it when I was 12 years old. And I'm sure officer Chauvin knew of it, too. Which means... Chauvin not only murdered Floyd, he tortured and murdered him by making him suffer the sense of oxygen deprivation for eight long minutes before finally delivering the coup de grace. He deserves life in prison, I'm sorry to say.
