Journalists at The Philadelphia Inquirer staged a partial walkout Thursday in outrage at a headline over the George Floyd protests that twisted the name of the group Black Lives Matter to read, “Buildings Matter, Too.”
“On June 4, we’re calling in sick and tired,” stated a letter signed by at least 44 “Journalists of Color of The Philadelphia Inquirer.”
“Sick and tired of pretending things are OK,” added the letter, tweeted by many of those stating they were staying home in protest. “The carelessness of our leadership makes it harder to do our jobs, and at worst puts our lives at risk.”

I think the police should also call in sick and tired.
There are so many journalists out of work. So much media has shut down. Journalists walking the street, looking for work.
These people should join that crowd and the Inquirer should find new people to warm their seats.

OMG, where on Earth will we ever find other journalists to replace them?
It would be less so if a bunch of thugs weren't using this as an excuse to destroy and steal private property. And why are so many employees of the Bureau of Land Management so heavily involved in all this?

I’m sure the Philly Inquirer, like any other dead and dying newspaper, has been looking for a way to thin the ranks.

I knew print media was in trouble when the National Enquirer had more reliable reporting than either the N.Y. Slimes or the Washington Compost.
NOt nearly as many made up stories.
The media keeps showing us just what they are.
