Yeah there is a better spring in it. It has the black rubberized handgrip and it fits like a glove. Too bad I cannot shoot it because of the lockdown, all ranges are closed. Hope they reopen next month! Got a really good deal on it and it’s in perfect condition.

“But it will be mostly used single action.”

Like I said above, get a trigger job on that GP-100 and I guarantee you will shoot it double action a LOT more often. It makes a world of difference.

Kids learn fast.

I was thinking of ignorant adults.

Good for them. Question I have, how many buyers are God fearing citizens? A righteous man with a gun has saved many lives. An unrighteous man with a gun causes much mayhem and murder. Christians, examine your heart, fear ( like the Covid nothing burger) causes nothing good. I would think the righteous have thought deeply, and if led by the spirit, you have every right. Good people who do nothing, are guilty. Buying a gun, practicing, obtaining a conceal carry permit , and realizing you have history’s greatest “ equalizer” , puts you in a morally obligated position to use it wisely. Don’t forget a case or two of ammo.

“These are legal gun owners. Willing to go through a process.”

Friends and family program will undoubtedly add significantly to the registered numbers.

2 million first time gun owners.

No.

2 million new permit holders and store bought gun owners.

No. Some are doing that but most are counting on looting gun stores and buying guns from foreign and illicit sources. They are doing that. The gun store lootings seem to be more organized beyond the incitement stage than other lootings.

“I live in the Netherlands”

Thanks for the reply. The link you gave is a gold mine as well.

Today’s global-ness still amazes me. I write something and get a reply from the Netherlands.

I remember the LGS being packed the day after it was elected. Had to laugh.

Staring down the barrel ( or both barrels of a side by side) shotgun is a good deterent to would be criminals or will put the bad guy down if need be.

Just having fun with the mis-wording. What about multiple bad guys?

Well originally someone asked the best gun for a first time gun owner for self defense, you don’t have to be terribly accurate with a shotgun, can mow down multiple perps with one shot from open bore, buckshot

Really enjoyed the article you cited. I checked out this link from a similar website - Best Gun For Home Defense which is interesting because they cover rifles, shotguns and hand guns. It made sense that they put the Glock 19 in there - it's popular for a reason I guess. Very ergonomic. I have the 19X which is almost the same gun. The Ruger GP-100 .357 is a gun I've had for several years as a trail gun. For home defense, it's a big no for me. Revolves simply don't have the capacity and if it breaks in the field, there's pretty much nothing you can do on the spot to get it working again. The same publication I read also did a review on the GP100 Ruger GP100 Review which you may be interested to see.
