Mayor Lightfoot said she’s hopeful major retailers will reopen the Chicago stores that were looted or otherwise damaged during protests surrounding George Floyd’s killing by police in Minnesota. But, she’s unsure of one of the biggest.
Mayor Lightfoot said she was on a conference call with Walmart and other major retailers that had stores looted or heavily damaged during the unrest in Chicago. She said she pleaded with them to not abandon Chicago.

10 years ago I was at a conference in San Antonio and visited a Wal Mart. The cosmetics were under lock and key. I was shocked! I am from small-town Texas. We still have open displays, plastic bags, plastic straws and styrofoam cups. I think the rest of the world and even parts of Texas has lost their mind.
The people would then move to the suburbs and to other states and ruin them. We're 30 miles outside of Downtown Austin and our Walmarts are closing at 5pm. I thought Texans had more spine than this?!
Walmart in northern Idaho is just limiting/rationing the amount of meat you can buy, which is stupid, because people will just go out and blast a road rat (deer) if they need chili fixins.
Governor Abbott told POTUS Texas didn't need federal help, that "Texas can take care of itself!". Sure, if sitting with his thumb up his butt is his version of taking care of Texas.
Cosmetics and beauty supplies are some of the most stolen items in Walmart. It's hard to prove what was brought into the store in someone's purse and what was stolen. They knew which (ethnic in many cases - I knew some store managers) products were being pilfered, but rather than profile, they punished everyone by locking it all up.
Maybe we should call the “creepy little creep” Lightfoot by the nickname ‘Turdlet’?

They don’t sell wigs but they do carry hair extensions. I say carry because they are mostly stolen not sold as are false eyelashes.

Grocery stores near downtown St. Louis have had armed security at their stores since at least the 90s. ...that I can remember.
Once I saw a big woman stuff two whole fryer chickens in her brazier. ....then walk out. ........must have been real hungry. ......never went back to that store.

BTW they close at 8:30 pm now because of the non-existent virus up here. 5 cases in 2000 square miles with a population of 56000 total for both counties. Corporate Office makes asinine decisions like that all the time without regards to the area.

Don’t know about Target but I know Walmart is self insured.
Why should they? You let him lose millions of dollars of product and cause hundred thousand dollars in damages and you want them to be like it like it’s nothing ever happened
