ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — iHeart Media has fired local radio hosts Kimberly and Beck after making racist comments Tuesday.
“We made the decision to terminate Kimberly and Beck yesterday as soon as we learned of their comments and informed them early this morning," Robert J. Morgan, the president of the Upstate New York iHeartMedia Markets Group, said in a statement early Wednesday morning. "We will not tolerate this kind of behavior, which is antithetical to our core values and beliefs and to our commitment to our community and everyone in it.”
During a live broadcast on 95.1 Tuesday, the pair were talking about the violence in Rochester over the weekend and referenced a video of a group of men beating a couple with a 2 x 4 on Monroe Avenue.

These people are getting on my last nerve.
Hopefully the terrorists will take down the radio station
because the hosts said:
“If you look like a thug, act like a thug
and you have three people beating a white woman
with a 2 x 4, by god, you’re a thug.”
You can only identify white criminals.
Informative piece.
1- First of all it is quite telling how people are frothing more over words than over the group assault of a couple;
2- It truly appears that the Left’s multi-decade push for culture-change has been successful (as measured by myriad metrics, eg extreme political correctness, children’s shows with openly gay characters, mass indoctrination, and a slow but persistent and substantial creep to the Left where many ‘conservatives’ today would be more liberal than Liberals from the 1960s). Yes, there are pockets of resistance, but it does appear the Left’s long-game has borne fruit;
3- I am still surprised by how people with say things in public they shouldn’t be saying. Yes, I know it seems to grind against what I said in point 2 about political correctness, but seriously people need to understand they are operating in a hostile environment where everything is recorded and communicated at the speed of electrons. Bad news can beat you home, and people need to find ways of communicating in a hostile environment.

Here I was ready to criticize the radio station for firing those two. But now it looks like at least Kimberly deserved the boot.
And yes, I know that some blacks use the n-word all the time. And I know that she didn’t actually say the word. That doesn’t excuse Kimberly’s stupid behavior here. So I’m okay with her being let go for being stupid. Notice that I said “stupid” there.
Too often folks are called “racist” when they are merely being stupid.

No one is now allowed to criticize thugs who beat an elderly woman protecting her store, by calling them thugs.

I happened to tune in to ESPN radio as I was trying to find a talk show and the crap I heard made me sick. They were basically fomenting violence against whites and there was nothing about sports. Not that I cared cause I can’t stand the political correctness period.
Hell, our own local county sheriff was kneeling at a BLM/Antifa protest yesterday.
I had to laugh because about 4 hours after the firing, Beck’s voiceover came on for a commercial about a home improvement company.
“Hi it’s Beck here.. XYZ Remodeling does a great job...”
Was it really “racist”? By what standard is it measured? There is no law that an HR department follows in determining what is “racism” and what is not, it’s just a game of “zero tolerance” as policy by which to discriminate based on opinions and a PC clique mentality.
When Don Imus was fired for his “nappy-headed hoes” comment on the air, he sued CBS and apparently won a very large settlement. The basis of his lawsuit was the company’s breach of contract, and it was a slam-dunk case for him because his contract clearly stated (in effect): “Your job is to get on the air every morning and piss people off by saying wild, outrageous things.”
My bet is the contracts they signed give these two much less protection.
