PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia residents were asking questions after a group of people armed with bats and other objects took to the streets Monday night in Fishtown.
And Mayor Jim Kenney provided his answer during a noon news conference Tuesday: "Going forward, any displays of vigilantism will not be tolerated, period," Kenney said.

North Philadelphia. Gerard Avenue runs through it. I used to dig antique bottles in and around Fishtown.
Gun sales are skyrocketing as people realize the government is not going to protect their homes and property when government approved social disobedience is taking place. This is a major threat to government power so it must now crush any attempt by law abiding citizen to band together to protect themselves, property and community.
Expect the hard hand of state power to crush any appearance of vigilantes or organized resistance to the chaos sanctioned, and now overtly supported, by government officials.

it is north of girard ave south of pennsport which is where Penn landed. just north and east of the center city/old city area.
Fishtown is a part of Philly near the Delaware River. It is mostly white, working class, and safe. It is an island of sanity bordering the Heroin Badlands of Kensington to the west. The fiendish and evil mayor, Jim Kenney would not be welcome there.

I was expecting this - actually from my feckless mayor her ownself. They want us unarmed and exposed, telling us to leave it to them. Unfortunately they (cops stymied by idiotic ROE) aren’t getting it done.
