On Monday, June 1, the USPP worked with the United States Secret Service to have temporary fencing installed inside Lafayette Park. At approximately 6:33 pm, violent protestors on H Street NW began throwing projectiles including bricks, frozen water bottles and caustic liquids. The protestors also climbed onto a historic building at the north end of Lafayette Park that was destroyed by arson days prior. Intelligence had revealed calls for violence against the police, and officers found caches of glass bottles, baseball bats and metal poles hidden along the street.
IF tear gas had been used, it would have clearly been justified.
If anyone thinks a thrown brick is not a deadly weapon, they are nuts. The USPP used great restraint.
Maybe Trump should tweet out a link to the USPP statement.

At least Esper acknowledged tear gas and rubber bullets were not used.. other than that he is leaning Left.
CBS This morning, the Asian rat Weiu Jiang said Esper claimed he was duped into the walk to the church and photo, he said he thought he was going to review the damage and thank the police. Weiju enthusiastically reported one of his 10,000 employees submitted his "resignation because of what Esper did. Man do they dig for meaningless "news"
Esper is butthurt he was not informed of the exact itinerary on the way to the church. He is still up there spewing like a Leftist.

The media as normal is REPEATING THE LIE that tear-gas had been used. The Park Police had REPEATEDLY told the media that TEAR GAS WAS NOT USED! To reinforce this truth of the absence of tear gas, the Park Police Chief mentioned that police would have worn masks THEMSELVES if tear gas had been used!
Episcopal Budde was angry that she had been left out of ‘the need to know’ info loop. She did acknowledge that this had not been a singular omission as her ‘colleagues’ had not reported any prior notice of President Trump’s visit to the St. John Cathedral burnt by terrorist the previous night!
Most importantly, Budde did support false and misleading statements through collaboration of false statements as well as her personal attacks against President Trump. Bishop Mariann Budde further demonstrated her lack of moral authority and leadership as her actions were simply an effort to further inflame discord and violence!!! Sadly, she must have just repeated hearsay as she must not have been present herself but learned on TV of President Trump’s visit to the cathedral. Apparently, Budde had been SET-UP and used by the media because of her emotional temperament. Hopefully, her denomination will censor her behavior and re-appoint her to a less exacting appointment.
Yet, this does not exempt Budde from her responsibility as a Christian and/or bishop to speak truth not distortion! I guess she was angry that sadly she had missed her 15 minutes of fame with President Trump. Instead, Budde contributed to further spread deceit by her reporting untrue statements to the complicit FAKE NEWS media types: CNN Politico, CBS, NY Daily News, Wusa9, vox.com, PEOPLE.com, NY Times. The FAKE NEWS media was so triggered they typically reported the ‘lie’ as fact without any investigation!
Factually, many of these ‘peaceful’ protestors had not left this location as requested which led to crowd dispersal police actions. President continued to the area even with the sound of distant background police activity.
‘We the people’ are grateful that God has appointed Donald Trump to serve as President at this very difficult time in our national history.

Gayle King on today’s (June 3, 2020) CBS This Morning kept classifying the protests as “peaceful” but I don’t consider throwing bricks as “peaceful.”
The DC Park Police also reported that the crowd wasn't entirely "peaceful" either... Starting at 6:33 pm ET, "many" in the crowd were hurling items at the police, some were grabbing for the police officers' guns. The violence needed to be quelled.
