The NYPD’s top uniformed cop talked to the Post in an exclusive interview Tuesday about how his cops have been “giving their blood” as they’ve responded to protests that have become increasingly violent over the past five days and raged against Governor Andrew Cuomo’s criticism of his department.
Chief Terence Monahan said he had slept for only three hours since the fifth night of protests and that all his guys are “cut up” from struggling with troublemakers in the city.
“Our guys are tired, they’re bleeding,” Monahan said. “I think everyone you’re going to see is walking around cut up. But they’re out there again tonight. They’re out there giving their blood to keep this city safe.”

I live here. Staten island. De Blasio and Cuomo must go. Now. They are complete and utter disgraces.
So far things are calm here.
But if Obama’s sons want to come from the North shore to the South shore we will be ready for them.

I read the whole story and found Chief Monahan’s comments quite credible.
IIRC SI is the only part of NYC that was carried by the President.

As far as de Blasio needing to go, there are a lot of Italian Americans on Staten island and definitely they want him out. But we are very small compared to the other boroughs.
as for my feelings of what will happen on Staten island? I think Obama’s sons are smart enough not to come to this side.
If they do come to the Italian side they will be crushed.
When that fat guy died here they protested in Manhattan. Better to deal with metrosexuals than us.

Trump and Cuomo agree that the NYPD is not doing their job. If the chief wants to whine about his lack of sleep rather than the chaos we’ve got a problem. Maybe he should take a long nap and let others do the job.

A lot of business owners in this area. They all have guns. Ex-cops. Also Mobsters don’t really care about the law too much. They have guns.
As for myself and others, no comment.
With New York’s new release program, my nephew who is an assistant district attorney said nobody is going to jail if they have no record and are caught with a gun.
They wont be held because of the new laws and they will get hit with a fine or maybe probation.
Hell, violent criminals are being let free the same day.
This city is becoming the wild West. The South shore of Staten island is nice I don’t know how long it can stay that way

Judging ONLY by what I’ve seen on TV, the “blackness” of the majority of those smashing in doors and windows resides in their clothing, not their flesh.
