Yup, a scene that I’l never forget. If he’d not stopped for those two laying down, this entire thing could have escalated. For now, we need more white/vs black stuff for that to happen and so far nobody is taking the bait. Meanwhile, the rioters and looters continue to bait in hopes of traction for mass violence.
Get yourself out no matter what, you have the right to self defense, whatever you do, you are defending yourself against an unruly violent mob that wants you dead.

Mine too......Wasn't there another trucker somewhere that ran into a couple of animals then pulled from his truck and beaten? Or is this the same guy?
Maintain a steady pace fast enough to keep them from mounting your vehicle but slow enough to allow them to get out of the way...if you’re in the mood to, anyway.

I know. I remember reading years ago about a woman and her children who were burned to death in their car by a mob in South Africa...she was just driving someplace routine and ran into the midst of a “protest” and didn’t know what to do.
What to do? Gun it, and don’t even worry about it. Anybody who was there was there to kill you in the first place.
Its simple really,better to be judged by a jury of 12 than carried by a panel of 6.If you are in fear of your life, run em down.

And, instead of one loaded, two loaded.
You move forward. Put your fate in the hands of a jury.
There are so many domestic disputes where a man will chase a woman down in a car, get out of his vehicle, and walk up and kill her.
Me: he gets out of his vehicle, I have a choice. Die immediately. Or run over him and face a jury, if it goes that far.

Depends on which state you live in. I think stand your ground would apply. You are using a car instead of gun when you are afraid for your life.
If you have to shoot someone or run over some one. Your first step should be get a lawyer before talking to police.
There are three choices here and I’d choose the one that involves the noisemaker on my hip.
Acquire assorted roadkill: skunks, possum, etc. Tie them to all four sides of the vehicle. Let cure in warm sunshine. Drive downtown. The protesters will probably part like the Red Sea.
Perhaps if you went backwards you would seem more innocent. You might be more vulnerable though.
