Probably not possible, but a presidential decree giving homeowners tremendous latitude in self-defense might be a good idea. Decent people should not have to worry about arrests and trials. They should be free to act.

I think the media should spend time reviewing state laws and castle doctrine so that people have a good idea how to best defend their homes - I won't hold my breath.
