Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) issued a joint statement Monday evening condemning President Donald Trump for his statement on the ongoing nationwide violence.
Earlier Monday evening, Trump declared in the Rose Garden at the White House that he would end the riots that had sprung up around the legitimate protests against the death of George Floyd in the custody of Minneapolis police.
He then walked across Lafayette Park, which had been a flashpoint for violent protest for several nights, and had been cleared by tear gas before Trump’s statement. The president, flanked by security and senior officials, walked across the street to St. John’s Church, which had been burned by rioters the night before, and held a Bible aloft before departing.

He has figured out a political “wedge issue” that will consolidate his base and will appeal to independent voters. It is law and order. Democrats have mistakenly sided with protesters who are now being recast as rioters and looters.
Adding to this Trump walked to a burned church with a Bible in hand. Now that act and photo opportunity should also cement those Evangelical votes that had been wavering.
The Democrats have no idea what is going to hit them in the November elections and they have walked into it with their eyes wide open.

I have got to believe that the dims poll numbers are in the toilet. They are also doing everything in their power to deflect what has been coming out about the unmasking and how high this goes up the chain to Obama. Must really be getting close and their fear factor has been going up exponentially.
Law and Order was a key plank in his platform last time too. It was just more focused on securing our borders. This time it will be focused squarely on securing our cities, our businesses, and our homes from mobs and anarchists.
