This is Free Republic.

Supposed to be about Constitutional Government.

Including Rights guaranteed by the Constitution.

Allowing a handcuffed man in the government's custody to die, by keeping your knee on his neck, until he passes out, and keeping it there instead of doing CPR, even after one of the other cops holding him down tells you he has no pulse, is a gross violation of civil rights as well as an exact fit to 3rd Degree Murder under Minnesota Law.

Under Federal Civil Rights Laws -- as a Citizen, not just as a black man, which is what you appear to be trying to deflect this to.

You don’t have to defend Chauvin to condemn the violence of rioters.

They can both be wrong.

I think that people who are upset about the rioting and mayhem feel the need to defend Chauvin in order justify their condemnation.

Not necessary. We can assume that Chauvin straight up killed this guy, with intent, and that still does not justify the rioting and murder that followed.

I work with a lot of cops. I give them the benefit of the doubt, because they all have a dozen true stories about how they are unjustly accused of everything you can imagine.

But I would never say a cop is incapable of doing something wrong. I have never seen such a clear case as this video.
