You don’t have to defend Chauvin to condemn the violence of rioters.
They can both be wrong.
I think that people who are upset about the rioting and mayhem feel the need to defend Chauvin in order justify their condemnation.
Not necessary. We can assume that Chauvin straight up killed this guy, with intent, and that still does not justify the rioting and murder that followed.
I work with a lot of cops. I give them the benefit of the doubt, because they all have a dozen true stories about how they are unjustly accused of everything you can imagine.
But I would never say a cop is incapable of doing something wrong. I have never seen such a clear case as this video.
But there are open trolls on the threads, some of whom have said they don't care if George Floyd WAS murdered.
And some who defend the police no matter what.
And spread open lies about "violently resisting" (the cops' favorite lie when they rough up or kill someone), which the police in this case tried until it came out in public there were multiple vidoes proving no such thing.
Read the probable cause statement against the ex-policeman now in jail on $500,000 bond.
It's damning.
Except to old cat ladies and masochistic homosexuals hoping the big tough murderous cop will come over and show them a good time, if they just fawn hard enough.
Too bad he's likely to be tossing salads the next 12 years.
"If you don't want to do the time, don't keep kneeling on the neck of an handcuffed man with no pulse for two minutes while on video in front of multiple witnesses."
