I went to the sale and was energized. I felt that I was there with a crowd who were peaceful, and genuinely good people. It remains to this day, one of my fondest memories. It shows that crowds can come together in unity, goodness, and virtue and not riot. I would hope that our republic hasn’t seen the last of days like that.
We need another Dan’s Bake Sale.

They sounded like a lost cause to me.

I listened to the break. It was obvious what was coming
and I just don’t buy into all that.

Notice that you NEVER hear about what White People have to
put up with?

Blacks > We’re mistreated, don’t get fair breaks, have to
work hard for everything we get. It’s all tilting the
White man’s favor.

White Manage > I have hired a number of Black people.
Things often don’t go well. When you have to call them
in they always try to pin it on race. No, it’s always
about poor work ethic, flaring temper, and being overall
disruptive. If you have to discipline or terminate them
you can be fearful of your life. They get seething angry.

Other good employees can leave, draining your talent.
When they do, the Black employee who drove them off can
get angry because you don’t fill the slot with a Black
person.

By the time you’ve dealt with this once, you never want
to take a chance again. After three or four times, you
swear you’ll never take a chance again.

It’s hard to tell what someone will be like up front. It’s
always a guess, and there are times when Whites are
problematic too. Generally they don’t flare quite as bac
and you don’t start to fear for your life.

We are raised differently. Whites generally don’t go
through life thinking everyone is out go get them, and
developing a hard core attitude just under the surface.

These are real concerns.

Thirty years ago I was applying for a job as a department
head. A friend of mine interviewed me. One of the
questions I really screwed up on, was how to deal with
a Black person who may have gang affiliation, when I
needed to discipline him/her, realizing there could be
a real threat if I did so.

This is an example of a hostile environment that would
cost me a decent desired job. That sort of thing never
figures in when groups talk of how unfair things are for
them. Hey, we all face unfairness in life.

There are no simple answers. Whites don’t get a free pass.
We have to meet standards and produce. If we don’t, we are
are grilled over it and let go if things don’t improve.

When someone trots out the racism card, it’s because they
have nothing else to say. Generally they know they’ve been
a problem.

And when they are problem, it can cost other Blacks
opportunities, and even people of other races a problem
getting a job.

When Blacks are growing up, folks should instruct them
about attitude and the can do spirit.

Instead they have it ingrained in them that ‘the man’ will
make it impossible for them, and thus they have a can’t do
spirit.

Some Whites have it too.

Rush your “can’t we all just get along?” Moment fell flat. He was trying to talk sensibly with people who push hate for a living. As someone who was screwed by affirmative action twice and had a brother who was also robbed by affirmative action
Our great grandfather was wounded at Gettysburg we gave enough they need to shut up and go away we gave already

I listened to the segment. They were having nothing of what Rush was talking about. All they were trying to do was get Rush to admit that white supremacy is the singular problem in this country.

To Rush’s credit, at the very end, he did subtly point out the futility of their argument when he mocked just that point “well if white supremacy is going to be your answer for everything” when regarding something about MLK’s assassination.

Unfortunately, Rush really miscalculated this interview. He has also taken the position that George Floyd was some completely innocent party in this incident. I mean, he actually said Floyd “didn’t do anything wrong”, which is not true. Floyd was drunk and belligerent, and using counterfeit money which is a form of theft, or fraud, which sparked the 911 call against him. What the police did is a separate issue, and they will face justice for it, but lost in all this is that Floyd was a run-of-the-mill criminal pulling petty crimes for his livelihood. Drinking 40’s and defrauding people will get you regular visits by the cops.

In summary, Rush walked 2/3 of the way in their direction seeking to establish common ground. They wanted Rush to admit white supremacy and white privilege because he’s white. Rush hemmed and hawed and gave a weak no, he wouldn’t go there.

They said guilty no deal. IOW, heads we win tails you lose.

Even President Trump reaches out to leftists. I’m not about to fault Rush for the effort.

Rush is doing a “Barry Goldwater.”

Drifting to the Left as his own life begins to drift away.

Personally, I will wait to hear and see the defense case before I convict someone of murder.

The Breakfast Club wasn’t going to give Rush an inch- they know their fan base would have gone ballistic.

They kept quoting the same tired “getting rid of the system that upholds white supremacy” and “system doesn’t work for all people” whine.

They never propose an alternative that avoids the massive economic & societal collapses of all previous attempts to establish some imaginary solution.
