A Baltimore police officer has been suspended after a video showed him punching a woman and knocking her out after she confronted another officer.
The police department said on Saturday that Commissioner Michael Harrison has also ordered an investigation of the incident.
The video, posted on social media, shows a black woman confronting a white police sergeant in a downtown intersection on Friday night. When the sergeant grabs the woman's arm, she strikes the sergeant twice on his head.
It was then that another officer, who is black, coldcocks the woman from behind and appears to knock her out cold.

I'm certain the manner you would nonviolently handle such an out of control individual in the midst of a riot while your partner is attacked would be enlightening.
Or, maybe I have it all wrong and your domestic disputes with the women in your family are the equivalent of a riot.

Exactly. I don’t like to see a woman hit, but she was out of control. He hit her with just enough force to stop her and not as hard as he could have.
The first cop needs some bobbing and weaving lessons.

saleman, I am a woman who would agree with you in most cases, but this woman needed to be stopped, and the policeman did it very efficiently. And he struck her with just enough force to stop her.
It was a clean hit. Not the best technique but he made up for it with muscle mass, sort of coming from around the side of the house ala George Foreman.
The white cop owes the black cop a stack of ribs.

The cops in my city fired pepperballs at rioters and arrested a bunch of rioters. Guess that blows your statement all to shit.
