Armed Texans Defend Alamo from Potential Rioters

Armed Texans placed themselves at the Alamo Cenotaph Saturday afternoon in advance of George Floyd protests in San Antonio, Texas.

Protesters defaced the monument early Friday with downward-facing arrows placed next to the statements “white supremacy,” “profit over People” and “the ALAMO,” according to an article by the San Antonio Express-News.

Texans consider the Cenotaph sacred because it is a memorial to those who died fighting at the Alamo.

“Well, it’s all pretty simple.  If you’re mad that George Floyd got murdered, well good. So am I,” David Ahmad with Open Carry Texas said in a video posted on Facebook. “If you want to respond to that by burning Target, or a drug store, or looting a liquor store, or destroying the Alamo, you can kiss both sides of my ass. We’re going to put a stop to you.” He was very clear that some of those there would use “any means necessary” to put a stop to it.

“So, just do it right. Protest the man’s death because it should be protested. Things need to change. This bullshit’s got to stop.”

He warned protestors not to use Floyd’s death to “tear up the Alamo or tear up a restaurant,” or use it as an excuse to burn or steal.

I’ve seen liberals saying, “Oh, this is understandable given everyone’s cooped up.”
No, it isn’t. Re-open protestors didn’t loot, burn or kill, though some of them were openly carrying guns.
The difference is that these are LIBERAL protestors. And like Ferguson, Berkley and Evergreen College, liberal protests = violence.

Not sure about the wall. There were a lot of black soldiers who died in Vietnam too

That doesn’t seem to matter. Lots of black businesses have been looted and destroyed, and WWII had plenty of black troops. The rioters are, for the most part, organized and made up of whites and blacks. This isn’t about protesting; it’s about anarchy and destroying our country.

Us Texans never forgot.

You are Correct Sir !!! If I was able to come back to help I would but I’ve got a Surgical wound on My Foot that has to finish healing. I’ve got a Family over here in NC to keep safe. Thank God We are not in a big city run by demonratcommiescumbags or County. Our County Sheriff has long ago declared the County as a 2A Sanctuary for Residents. He won’t be playing games with those scumbags should they try to come here and the Sheriff Department has Citizens backs as We do Our Sheriff and Deputy’s.😷🇺🇸

I’m so proud of these men for stepping up.

Those punks look scared, and they should be.

Just wondering if those are true Boog Boys, or guys wearing Hawaiian shirts (the identifying characteristic of the Boogaloo Boys) because they believe it the cool thing to do.

Dude. Step off. Ever consider the possibility that maybe they like Hawaiian shirts?

but he did not kill the suspect. The suspect had serious medical conditions.

Perhaps, but the issues are (a) whether Floyd would have survived the arrest if not for Chauvin applying his full body weight by knee to the back of Floyd's neck for nine minutes; and (b) whether the four police officers could have safely affected the arrest of Floyd without the use of a neck restraint for nine minutes.

From the the videos that I have watched (and I believe that I have seen all of the videos that have been publicly released), the use of a neck restraint may have been reasonably necessary for a very short period of time to maintain control over Floyd, but not for nine minutes, and certainly not after Floyd shows signs of distress. Floyd was clearly impaired and could barely stand on his own, and there comes a point where he is face down on the ground, with his hands cuffed behind his back, and clearly, he is not about to flee. Although there might have been a brief struggle just prior to that point, once he is on the ground, I don't see the need for more than a brief neck restraint, if that, with four cops standing over him. Based upon the videos that I have seen, Chauvin is guilty of manslaughter or perhaps criminally negligent homicide as a lesser charge.

I just want my Boog Boys high AF on coke, chomping nuggies by the handful, swigging chocki milk by the gallons all wrapped up in beautiful Hawaiian killing shirts.

Not Tyler and Branson’s daddies from T-ball.

Just a little dissapointed is all...

I only saw one brief video. Am not making a judgement one way or the other. That is for a jury.

Grandpappy was at the first siege of the Alamo. We may have to be there again.

There was no reciprocity with DC when I was stationed there. Trying to defend the wall with an unauthorized firearm is stoooopid as you will just end up in jail watching the rioters destroy the wall on TV. That doesn’t help anyone, especially yourself. Only carry concealed if you can and will use it to save your own life...not a wall.

Those almost certainly are boogjahdeen. The Alamo is the quintessential example of exactly what the boog is all about. Resistance to and independence from tyranny aka Santa Anna’s murderous tyranny is boog 101.

The Texians of which I am a direct blood descendant from a family member who fought in the Texas war for independence. Would have absolutely been on board with resistance to tyranny embodied by the boog, as are the III% and oath keepers.

I’m a 11 year MP SRT designed marksman and dynamic entry team. I only wish this would have gone down in the 1990s when I was driving a bolt, nothing would make me happier than to send some of these thugs to see St Peter. I have trigger time so yes I do fully understand what that means to send rounds down range and yes I sleep like a baby at night.
