Egypt has announced an anti-Turkey alliance that includes Greece, Cyprus, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and France to confront Turkish moves in Libya and the Mediterranean. The announcement was made during a virtual meeting with the foreign ministers of these countries on May 11.
In a joint statement issued shortly after the meeting, the five-party alliance said it will focus on confronting the Turkish moves in the territorial waters in Cyprus, where Turkey has been carrying out illegal excavations in the Mediterranean under Cyprus sovereignty.
The alliance also condemned Turkeys escalated violations of Greek airspace.
The European Union condemned May 16 the drilling and exploration operations of the Turkish drill ship Yavuz that has been drilling off Cyprus since April.
On May 3, Greece condemned two Turkish aircraft flying over Greek islands, stating that the Turkish jets buzzed a Greek chopper transporting the minister of defense and army commander who were traveling over a small island in the Aegean Sea. The alliance statement also criticized Turkish actions in Libya, and the memorandum of understanding on the delineation of maritime borders in the Mediterranean and the understanding on security and military cooperation, both signed in November 2019 between Turkey and the internationally recognized Tripoli-based Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) headed by Fayez al-Sarraj.

This could get interesting.
So what happens if two members of the same alliance (NATO) go to war with each other? Which side does the alliance support? In this case I’d side with Greece.
Hell, if some country outside of NATO goes to war with Turkey we should definitely sit it out and cheer the non-Turkish belligerents in their battles against Turkey.
I’m not islamic; but where do I sign up?
Yes. Greece is a NATO ally and Turkey “has been” a NATO ally.
But Turkey is one of the largest supporters of Islamist Terrorists.
UAE and Egypt do not support Terrorists.
Erdooo the Islamist Dictator of Turkey and the protector of the remaining ISIS Terrorists is totally incompatible with NATO.
If Turkey attacks Greece, we will not support Turkey.
Why would we care other than to stop Turkey from being just like Iran supporting terrorism?
..................
I would too. But I believe NATO obligations are triggered by attacks on a country's homeland. Unless France or Greece invade or bomb Turkey, which won't happen, nothing is triggered. Or support terror attacks, in which case it might, as in Afghanistan. In any event, the US should choose or not choose sides based on our interests. Which imo are opposed by Turkey.
Why should we care?
Turkey is just as supportive of Islamist Terrorists as Iran is.
Turkey is a “NATO” Member. (for now)
