Shocking new surveillance video appears to show George Floyd in a violent struggle with Minneapolis police before his death.

Floyd can't be seen in the footage, but one cop can be seen leaning through the back door and visibly struggling with him.

The clip was posted by activist Shaun King, who wrote: 'BREAKING: Just got this new video. It’s all coming together. Police were in the car beating the sh** out of George Floyd. One stands watch, while the others attacked him.'

Later, white officer Derek Chauvin was captured on video by a bystander kneeling on Floyd's neck as he begged for air.

Floyd, 46, fell unconscious and died, and Chauvin, 44, has since been charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, which are filed in cases of unintentional death.

Chauvin also was accused of ignoring another officer who expressed concerns about Floyd, a black man, as he lay handcuffed on the ground.

Sure.

Do you think this “new” video somehow removed the knee the cop had on his neck?

This video changes nothing.
After the suspect died, I guess you think he was still resisting, eh?

Bingo!

Some here apparently think dead men resist too.
I mean, after he died, the knee remained........

"Also, I serve in my church’s prison ministry so I have a little understanding of what DOC staff deal with. Thank you for your service in that capacity my friend."

Appreciate it. I was a 33 year old divorced mother of two sons when I took the Correctional Officer's job. I only worked in men's prisons. Started at Auburn in 1980. I always tried to be firm, fair, and consistent on my job as I was taught during training. In my first couple of weeks on the job, another female officer who had been there about a year more than me gave me two great rules to go by. The first was, you don't do for one, what you can't do for all, and secondly, if asked by an inmate is they could do something, and you weren't quite sure, you should tell them that you will check into it, and get back to them. The main reason being is that it's a lot easier to change a "no" to a "yes", than it is to change a "yes" to a "no." I've been retired for several years now, and don't miss the job a bit. I feel sorry for anyone who is working in Andrew Cuomo prisons these days. His father was bad enough, and this Cuomo isn't any better.

the autopsy showed he did not die of asphixiation, the knee on the neck didn’t cause death.

Narrative:

Evil white oppressor police hunt and kill sweet innocent black men at will.

Justifies looting, killing and rioting.

Reality:

Something much different. Like a bad cop with a manslaughter charge.

Ho-hum. Doesn’t fit the narrative. Or play into identity politics.

Please don’t let facts get in your way.

Thanks, but I don’t need another mother. I had one. She died 30 years ago, but thanks for the attempt to “keep me honest” as you put it.

Mark, here is a link to the video of the suspect on the ground telling officers he can’t breathe.

Thank you, but I have seen the unedited video multiple times. The link you posted is highly edited and cuts out the police officer saying they were trying to get him into the car for ten minutes.

The point about him saying he cannot breathe, while he was standing up, is that his complaints about not being able to breathe pre-dated the neck restraint.

Thus, there is evidence it was not the neck restraint that caused his complaint about not being able to breathe.

“the autopsy showed he did not die of asphixiation, the knee on the neck didn’t cause death.”

Day late and a dollar short! The knee to the neck compresses the carotid arteries leading to death.

Asphyxiation (Traumatic Asphyxiation) doesn’t have to occur for someone to die from compression of their neck.

Because he was still able to speak, he was getting some air, suddenly he was unconscious. Seems more like a CVA to me.

I think you misunderstood or I errored typing.

Since everyone is so keen on Floyds toxicology report, how about we see the cops involved toxicology reports.

Good for the goose, good for the gander right?

Show us the toxicology reports of the officers on scene too.

Let me constrain you on your stomach and put my knee to your neck and see how well you can breathe ...

I accept facts and when you begin to post them that will be refreshing.

The incident in question was what I commented on.

Nothing about race or riots.

You brought that up.

Because you must be saving the facts for a rainy day.......

I am very relieved to know that one of those four cops tried to stop the murder.
