New surveillance video shows George Floyd in struggle with cops in back of police car BEFORE being pulled out and 'killed' by officer Derek Chauvin

Shocking new surveillance video appears to show George Floyd in a violent struggle with Minneapolis police before his death.

Floyd can't be seen in the footage, but one cop can be seen leaning through the back door and visibly struggling with him.

The clip was posted by activist Shaun King, who wrote: 'BREAKING: Just got this new video. It’s all coming together. Police were in the car beating the sh** out of George Floyd. One stands watch, while the others attacked him.'

Later, white officer Derek Chauvin was captured on video by a bystander kneeling on Floyd's neck as he begged for air.

Floyd, 46, fell unconscious and died, and Chauvin, 44, has since been charged with third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, which are filed in cases of unintentional death.

Chauvin also was accused of ignoring another officer who expressed concerns about Floyd, a black man, as he lay handcuffed on the ground.

“He was probably having a heart attack (fits with the autopsy findings),”

I have never consider heart attack.

Police used an approved restraint position.

But not in a manner authorized by the department. No department suggests kneeling on the neck for eight or nine minutes. No department trains its officers to ignore the safety of the suspect while restraining them. Chauvin went way beyond what the department allows and his actions were in part responsible for Floyds death. His charges are warranted.

Exactly...I was amazed by all the people who must have X-ray vision and could see through the tinted window and door...
Imo, and most everyone has one...Floyd attracted the attention of leo because of some theft incident in a market....when confronted, he was uncooperative but manageable initially...then flat out refused to be put in a vehicle, ride down town, and be booked...the resulting struggle and restraint resulted in his death...no signs of asphyxiation on initial autopsy....so stress of situation, resistance, and restraint caused a heart attack and death...again imo...did drugs play a role ...who knows at this point...but would not be surprising...at any rate the neck cop is a dead man one way or the other and probably all the other cops involved as well...will this be enough blood to satisfy the outraged and the phony outraged...no...will the millions of dollars in looting, burning, more deaths, and destruction done in the remembrance of Mr Floyd be enough payback...no...

He was handcuffed unless these cops broke the number one rule, a perp is always cuffed before being placed in the car. Nothing about this even hints at being positive for these cops. And he was arrested for passing a phony double sawbuck. He could have gotten it from a cash machine. Happened to me once and from Chase.

“I Can’t Breathe” is just the latest attempt to get a Get out of Jail free Card. It is right there with hands up don’t shoot. Notice that ALL these rioters are parroting the hands up dont shoot. I have noticed in the last couple of days several stories where the “victim” hollers I cant breather immediately. Same with the onlookers. It is all coordinated.

"First I've heard of that."

Then you haven't been checking the news or following closely on FR. It's been reported and posted over the past 3-4 days:

George Floyd death: Experts say knee-to-neck restraint is dangerous, but Minneapolis allows it

No prob. Still, according to the autopsy there are several causes of death. Not just one.

Increasingly it just looks like the goal is for police to declare that black people cannot be confronted, detained, or arrested.

All that is fine. But nobody wants the police to just up and kill their suspects. If we're at the point where that is acceptable then why not just shoot them out of hand?

It actually depends on how much weight is being applied. That is the key point, and I'm unsure if a video can determine that.

I've studied martial arts for over 40 years. We learn many techniques that have a goal of "compliance". When we hit that point, we can then back off ever so slightly but maintain the hold so that if the training partner tries to escape, we can immediately apply just a little pressure and they instantly become very "compliant" again. We can hold them that way for hours if needed, safely under our control.

I have no idea what this cop did or what his intentions were, but you'll never know by watching a video.

I hate bad cops as much as anyone, but right now this guy is an unknown based on my personal MA training.

Maybe the medical examiner can determine if loss of blood flow to the brain was the cause of death. I'll wait for the results before judging.

He stumbled when he was near the pavement side of the car. How did he get to the other side of the car (street side) where he eventually died? You’re judging the scenario based on a few snippets of video available. Why not wait until all of the evidence has been presented before deciding on someone’s guilt or innocence?

OK. The stupid cop screwed up and engaged in idiotic cop behavior. He will pay a price as he is being charged with 3rd degree murder.

George Floyd? A worthless piece of scum. His life is certainly not worth more than anyone else’s life and now we see lives being taken in these riots.

We are way past George Floyd. These terrorist anarchists need to be taken out. I hope Trump takes action.

I’m sure it’s not good for the prosecution either.

We all know the charges were brought to stop the riots because less than 24 hrs before the DA was on TV sayinig there was evidence that does not support charges. That made news all over the place then BLAM charges.

Not that ruining someone’s live ever mattered to a party who tried to do a soft coupe on POTUS.

Given that the cop had his knee on the side of the guy’s neck,

...

Yet the autopsy said there was no choking (restricted airflow), or strangulation (restricted blood flow). Floyd also complained of not being able to breathe while he was still standing. Too bad he chose to resist rather than comply and request paramedics be called or to be driven to the hospital.

"amazing how violent a handcuffed guy can be against four armed, trained men..."

Have you ever been in that position to restrain someone that big, even with cuffs on? I have, and it sure as hell isn't easy, and can't be done in the confines of a back seat in a vehicle if the individual is resisting. Unless you've been there, done that, it's easy to speculate on how things will go, but that's all you can do is speculate and assume. And we don't need anymore of that, because that's what the media does all the time.
