I know this sounds crazy, but Donald Trump will not be president forever. In fact, he hasnt been president that long . . . meaning, it was not so long ago that we were dealing with an Obama administration and its media-Democrat pom-pom squads that regarded limited-government conservatives, Second Amendment proponents, and many veterans returning from overseas military service as right-wing extremists who posed a threat of domestic terrorism. Someday, maybe sooner than wed like to think, Democrats are going to be in power again. Do we really want to give them enhanced federal powers to harass ideological opponents under the guise of designating domestic terrorist threats?
Right this minute, in terms of confronting Antifa or any other domestic terrorist organization, we have a more robust array of state and federal law-enforcement powers than we have ever had. Moreover, coordination between federal and state law-enforcement and national-security officers is as good as it has ever been. All that is required to gut Antifa is the will to do it the will to say, Regardless of our disparate political views, we Americans draw the line at violent extortion that eviscerates our right to speak, assemble, and engage in constitutionally protected political activity.
Id humbly suggest we work on that, rather than wasting our energy on meaningless and potentially counterproductive theater like designating domestic terrorist organizations.

You have it exactly the other way round.
Ahhhh, well it turns out it was a good question to ask. And now I know the answer. And you don’t. Say “pretty please,” and maybe I’ll tell ya.
And your law degree is from where?
Same place you got yours from.
I highly doubt that.
You are not getting much argument from me there, seeing as yours for as from a backstreet abortion clinic.
That may very well be exactly the point, but maybe not the only point. I am not 💯% sure, but being designated a terrorist organization, allows the feds to follow the money, confiscate their billions, have the Army arrest them, and haul their worthless carcasses off to Gitmo, instead of a US jail, where every communist lawyer in the world would represent them.
A little different, but I wonder if the Lolita Express people, child trafficking people, and others, can be rounded up like this too? I hope so.
I am not sure, of course, but maybe, being designated an international terrorist organization, allows Gitmo to be used. Anyone know for sure?
I believe the international terrorist designation would bring in the full intelligence weight of the five eyes intelligence sharing allies, as well as legally giving them the right to stop the flow of money. Dont forget, antifa is a worldwide organization causing trouble in many places.
You do not know what you are talking about, as you have made manifestly clear. Make your case on facts, if you are able. Even if not, stop with the personal insults, as it is against FR rules as you should clearly know by now.
Does the international terrorist organization designation, allow the government to use Gitmo?
I think it will depend on crime...
No. Designated terror groups are foreign, designated by the State Department. Simply supporting a designated group is a crime and can have severe consequences. The FBI “designates” domestic terror groups, ELF/ALF makes the list. However the list has no legal consequences. Like the ten most wanted, the legal consequences are tied to the underlying crime, not the list. I don’t know if ELF accepts donations, but you could probably make one without consequences. Donating to a designated terror group is itself a crime.
Who is this cuck?
Go adore yourself.
Right back at ya.
Thanks for clarifying. Makes sense.
Antifa ARE terrorists. Deal with them as terrorists and watch them slink back under the rocks which hide them, and listen to the voices in academia and hollyweird who defend them ... and act accordingly.
