Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison said nobody really knows who is driving the raucous violence at protests related to the death of George Floyd and faulted the Justice Department for casting blame on left-wing militants.
He said Attorney General William Barr, who pointed to Antifa-like tactics in the protests, should be investigating instead of making incendiary comments.
The truth is, nobody really knows, Mr. Ellison told NBCs Meet the Press. What the exact political motivation is is unclear at this point.

You are correct and your logic is sound. Unfortunately there is a percentage of the dumbed down population that laps up whatever CNN and MSLSD spews out.
We had riots in downtown Raleigh, NC last night. All the buildings on our main street downtown were damaged.
Today the people who have gone downtown to clean up have said that there are Red Crosses with circles around the crosses spray painted all over downtown - a symbol of White Supremacist groups. A Proud Boys member was photographed in downtown Raleigh today.
So, of course, the news media and my liberal siblings who live in Raleigh are convinced this violence was the work of white neo-nazi supremacists.
But the people the news media showed looting and setting fire to a CVS store were not white.
How do I respond?
Never heard of a circle around crosses being a symbol of anything. I do know that an A with a circle around it is the Anarchist symbol. Most “Anarchists” are white, but they are fanatically left wing. Here in MN we have been dealing with them for years, mostly around the area of the Univ of MN.
Maybe a little time in a police interrogation (6 months or so) would loosen Ellison’s tongue. Bet me that he doesn’t know more than he’s saying.
Sounds like somebody is trying to convince others the neo-nazis were the guilty party, but no evidence for that or so it seems. Somebody doesn’t wish to take credit for their own dirty work.

I have to find some evidence that it was ANTIFA in downtown Raleigh yesterday.....or just plain old thugs who wanted to smash and set fire to buildings....and loot them.
They didn’t think that one through very well, did they. LOL
“Nobody knows” is another way of saying, “No comment,” or “I really don’t want to talk about that now,” or “Drop dead!”
As for motivation, it’s not like there is some bill or program that people want passed. The motivation isn’t that focused.
Some people are angry about what happened. Some people hate the system. Some people like violence. Some people like free stuff.
ShorelineMike: "Some people know something."
Everybody knows it’s you and your pals, you America-hating, Racist, terrorist-loving thug.
Attorney General Barrs statement on rioting, the role of the Department of Justice, and Antifa.
The violence instigated and carried out by Antifa and other similar groups in connection with the rioting is domestic terrorism and will be treated accordingly. pic.twitter.com/6aKElRYZdR— KerriKupecDOJ (@KerriKupecDOJ) May 31, 2020
Interesting juxtaposition of comments in this case.
