LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) Groups of people protesting police brutality following the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died while in the custody of Minneapolis police, took to the streets Thursday for the second night in a row.
A large group of protesters gathered in Fontana, the same day a Fontana police officer fatally shot a man accused of assaulting a disabled person, officer and a K9, outside of police headquarters.
Officers were out in force, though they said no arrests had been made.
Another group of largely peaceful protesters gathered outside of the Los Angeles Police Department headquarters in downtown Los Angeles around 5 p.m.
Some of the protesters reportedly shouted expletives directed at police lined up outside the building and others surrounded California Highway Patrol cruisers driving down 1st Street.
Police closed 3rd Street and Grand Avenue downtown to traffic in an apparent move to allow protesters to congregate safely and peacefully.

Street demonstrations are and should be occurring across this country and in this city to bring voices to injustices, he said. It is part of the very democracy of what makes this country great.

"Street demonstrations should be occurring"...
What? Chief...Are you encouraging more people to come out to protest? Looking at what is happening in Minneapolis, are you sure that it is a good idea?
I never heard of a police chief who states, at a press conference, that "street demonstrations should be occurring"...
Here is the pyramid of blame/responsibility in Minneapolis!
1. The officers that did the beating. They actually did it.
2. The police department head. They are responsible for the environment that lead to the officers believing this was acceptable behavior.
3. The Mayor. He selected the head.
4. The voters of Minneapolis. They elected the mayor.
This isnt even a state issue, much less a fedgov issue. It is a Minneapolis issue.

I have 0 problem with peaceful demonstrations.
I have problems with riots, vandalism and thuggery.
Too bad LA county and CA in general are all on lockdown. Why are they not promoting Zoom Protests ?
But we still can’t go to church?
The chief probably thinks he's using "reverse psychology."
Truth is... a small percentage of the demonstrators are actually concerned about the "right to protest."
Most of the rest are there looking for an opportunity to secure a NEW FLAT SCREEN TV and some GROCERIES.
And the mayor of L.A. says the city should stay shut down until there is a vaccine.
Let me understand commie logic you can have thousands of people outside, shoulder to shoulder with each other, NO ONE wearing masks, thats OK, but we gotta have mail in ballots in November cause its not safe to go outside LOL
Soooooo,
Since the public has demanded that businesses be allowed to function and people be allowed to return to work,
Now the Dems may have a new way to drag their administrative feet. A new way to prevent or slow down our economic recovery. Give the thugs a safe place to destroy. How convenient!
And every lawyer in LA smiled.
They want more deaths.
Reason number 4,346 to not live in a large urban area.
That’s not Social Distancing
I bet they make the same mistake as they did in the Rodney King riots when they pulled out of ground zero at some liquor store. Then the city burned for days, including suburban residential homes. It is ever ingrained in my mind the moment they dragged Reginald Denny out of his truck and beat him half to death. That was the moment that every cop available should have descended on Florence and Normandie with deadly force. It would have ended right there.
A comment from a black friend of mine:
“Sad about the events in the news. He did not have to die. We do not need to loot. Two wrongs never make a right. Come together and prosecute these police. I still back the blue and these guys appear to be way way out of line.”
Really?
Here is the pyramid of blame/responsibility in Minneapolis!
1. The officers that did the beating. They actually did it.
2. The police department heas and Chief. They are responsible for the environment that lead to the officers believing this was acceptable behavior.
3. The Black Mayor, Mayor Melvin Carter.
4. The Black Mayor, Mayor Melvin Carter, selected the Hispanic Chief of Police, Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo.
5. He, Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo, After Not Giving Cops Armor, Chief Said Riots Too Dangerous For Cops To Stop without body armor
6. The voters of Minneapolis. They elected the mayor, who hired the Chief of Police
7. The local mediots on tv and in news papers ignored 1-6 until the riots started.
8. This isnt even a state issue, much less a fed/gov issue. It is a Minneapolis issue, the voters!.
9. The good news for Karens in Minneapolis and in America, the cops and rioters are wearing masks trying to staying 6 part during the looting and rioting.
