Floyd which claims he 'was awfully drunk and not in control of himself when he tried to pay with a counterfeit $20bill'
DAILY MAIL UK MAY 29, 2020
(snip)
The store clerk who called 911 on George Floyd complained to an operator about an 'awfully drunk' man who was 'not in control of himself'.
A call transcript released by the Minnesota Police Department on Thursday reveals that the caller reported a customer for using a counterfeit bill to buy cigarettes.
The caller said staff only realized the money could be fake once he left the Cup Foods store in Minneapolis. Someone followed him out and demanded he turn in his phone and the cigarettes before he was allowed to leave, however he refused.
'Someone comes our store and give us fake bills and we realize it before he left the store, and we ran back outside, they was sitting on their car,' the caller explained to the operator on Monday around 8.30pm.
Floyd was accompanied by two people at the scene however their identities are unknown.
'We tell them to give us their phone, put their (inaudible) thing back and everything and he was also drunk and everything and return to give us our cigarettes back and so he can, so he can go home but he doesn't want to do that,' the clerk continued.
'And he's sitting on his car cause he is awfully drunk and he's not in control of himself.'

I’ve seen countless videos of blacks being arrested and when taken down many yell..”I can’t breath”...ever since that other guy died. So it’s crying wolf and certainly would lead any officer to think it’s another wolf call.
I’ve still not determined about the knee hold....though it’s obviously very disturbing to watch, I just think their could be other factors as well that led to his death.
‘its up to the officer to use a knee in the back of the neck to his discretion so the mere act of using it as a restraining technique is not an act of murder.’
yeah, sure it is, especially when the guy is already cuffed...
No need to mouth off.
When youre up against emotions its a battle youre going to loose.
It is Friday and just have to comment.
How come around half of the American public struggle to spell the word LOSE? As in Mary needs to lose some weight.
They continually spell as loose, as in the crook is loose. Yes I am referring to Hillary Clinton.
Okay... you may continue.
Looking at the video:
Guy alive when knee went on neck. Guy clearly saying he cant breathe. Dead by the time knee came off 8 minutes later.
You: “You are assuming that he died because of the knee to the neck. We dont know if that is the case.”
I agree those who attacking posters here need to stop......rather present their evidence and the facts as they are currently known as well as other factors which might have been occuring at the time of this arrest..
Alcohol and drugs perhaps. Maybe why the coroner came up with an inconclusive COD.
‘The charge may have to be reduced.’
negligent homicide, reckless endangerment; murder, probably not...
That’s another good point these idiots start gathering around cops and yelling at them and holding up their phones it’s like they put themselves and everyone else in a bad situation that causes a lot of tension and it’s not a good thing. So there is no video on why he wound up on the ground? we don’t see anything about the interaction that caused Floyd to wind up on the ground?
There’s almost always more info that comes out days after the initial incident.
This one will affect the national election in that it limits Biden’s choice of a VP and based on his support of legislation in the past, his standing with Blacks.
Who needs judges and legislature when Cops are the arbiter of laws in the land and are above reproach for anything they do, especially on camera? No one is allowed outrage for watching a man be murdered (depraved indifference while in custody is murder, even if it's not 1st degree) and doesn't have one inkling of remourse?
It's good to know where you stand when it comes to the growing police state.
I hope that someone stands up for you when someone arbitrarily decides that you're next to be ground under the police state boot.
I always screw up on that note...and others. ‘Their and There’ comes to mind. When one is tapping away on the keys it’s not unusual to forgo this as your mind is focused on the issue or topic rather than proper spelling or word usuage.
......” there is no video on why he wound up on the ground? we dont see anything about the interaction that caused Floyd to wind up on the ground?”.......
He was taken down right next to the police car.....might be he was resisting getting into the vehicle?.....especially if there was a crowd using their phones to document this and he knew he was being recorded.
This entire article is an irrelevant misdirection. The issue is not whether or not Floyd deserved to be arrested. He probably did. The issue is that, once the police had him subdued, they KILLED HIM. Either the cop killed him deliberately, or he did it by accident, which means we’re really only arguing about whether this is a case of murder or negligent homicide.
.....”That wont absolve the LEO of his action. The charge may have to be reduced”.....
Could be murder 1,2,or 3......possibly less once all the facts are presented.
Regardless of the reports the black community has already tried and condemed the officer and those with him....and so has the family.
I smell Soros in this rioting.
‘How come around half of the American public struggle to spell the word LOSE?’
seems the country had loosed its collective mind; people have left their emotions run lose...
Looking at the video:

Rule of thumb: if you can talk, you can breathe. I did not get the sense in watching this video that Mr. Floyd was unable to breathe. My reaction was that he was very high on drugs or alcohol or both and that he was rambling incoherently. In fact, in the first video that shows his initial arrest, you can hear him rambling incoherently as well.
The autopsy will tell the story. The fact that the initial autopsy was inconclusive requiring more laboratory testing suggests to me that this is not a clear-cut case. As an attorney, I have been involved in many homicide investigations where everybody initially thought the cause of death was X and the autopsy showed the cause of death was Y. I would also point out that the police officers called for an ambulance before the knee to the neck. Obviously, they believe he needed immediate medical attention of some sort. Again, I am completely open minded. But until I see the autopsy, and video showing what happened that prompted the officers to pin Mr. Floyd down, I will withhold judgment.
.....”were really only arguing about whether this is a case of murder or negligent homicide”.....
Which is likely why the officer hasn’t been arrested yet.
Kinda like was it cronovirus that killed the patient or the underlying disease they had..
