I may be weird but looters and arsonists need to be shot. Nothing is bad enough to cause all this. Most just go along with a crowd. Shoot a few and this nonsense would stop. They are criminals and should be treated as such. Some people have lost lifetime work.

While I agree that these type should be shot on sight, my experience is that mostly what shooting a few does at this point in a major riot’s development (unless you are the National Guard) is simply make the rest of the mobs displace elsewhere. They don’t just go home or disperse.
Earlier in the process it might have helped.
