Only seen limited info here. From the picture, the Floyd guy, did they take his shirt? And the policeman, we see no mask.
When I have driven through Washington, DC, I see more black people with masks on than white people, especially young white people. I think the media there has made it very clear that people of color are getting sicker more than whites. Also, I suspect that people who come to riots are less likely to take careful precautions like maintaining social distance or masking, well, maybe hiding behind a mask if they plan to commit theft or destruction.

What a farce - Mayor of Minneapolis says police were removed from the third precinct to protect them and the “protestors.” Won’t threaten lives by confronting protestors.
