Thousands of New Yorkers tune into Gov. Cuomos afternoon coronavirus briefings each day for vital updates on how to go on with their lives. When will my kids go back to school? What month can my store reopen? Is it safe to take the subway to my job?
We generally end the hour with no more answers than when we started. That pitiful trend continued Thursday, when Cuomo added Chris Rock and Rosie Perez to his task force.
Not Dr. Chris Rock of Mt. Sinai and famed epidemiologist Rosie Perez. The experts Cuomo has chosen are the stars of Down to Earth and White Men Cant Jump.

Rock and Perez couldn’t make any worse predictions than “Dr.” Faucist and “Dr.” Birxforbrains.
I would have preferred Steve Martin and Tanya Roberts.

I met Tanya Roberts years ago. She was friendly and didnt give that “im an actor and better than you” vibe. My then-GF asked her about the time she was shooting James Bond and she answered very nicely.
And not a mask in sight.

Looks at least 2 Upstate counties will open tomorrow regardless of Cuomo’s objections.
Upstate may be growing a spine.
