Minnesota State Senator and Medical Doctor Scott Jensen says that surgical and cotton masks cannot filter COVID-19 from the air.
The New York Times recently blasted Jensen as well as President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence for not wearing a mask in public at all times amidst the coronavirus pandemic. However, Jensen says that even the best medical masks are insufficient to prevent the transmission of the COVID-19.
Presently studies reveal that COVID-19 particles require an electron microscope to be seen and are readily transmitted through cotton and surgical masks .. Guilt trips do nothing to reduce this disease ..

Ironically, the New York Times itself published recommendations from several medical experts that the average American should not wear a mask prior to criticizing Jensen and Trump for not masking up...
Other legacy media outlets have also clearly instructed the public not to wear masks, warning that doing so is more likely to cause mass hysteria than do anything to quell the coronavirus pandemic.

This is a silly argument. The only masks that can actually stop the COVID virus itself are N95 masks, snuggly fit so that ALL of your breathing must go through the mask, with an appropriate one-way valve so that you don’t keep putting positive pressure on the mask thus breaking the seal around your face.
But sadly, a large part of our population doesn’t cover their face when they cough or sneeze, and also a number of people go out while they are sick, and there are people who have allergies who don’t think they have COVID because they are used to allergies.
And it is “proven science” that a piece of cloth in front of your face works much like your elbow in stopping large particulates like spittle that CONTAIN the virus from getting airborne, where they can float around for a minute or so infecting people who walk through them.
That is the only reason you are being asked to wear a mask — if you aren’t being tested daily, you MIGHT have the virus, and your loud talking, or throat-clearing, can generate particulate matter with the virus that can be breathed by those who are near you, especially if you are not maintaining 6-foot distance (like if you walk right past people).
It is probably a very rare spread for normal living when you are already trying to stay apart, but it sure would have helped on the subway cars.
OF course, if someone spits on your mask, your mask is not protecting you from the virus slowly seeping through, you’d have to immediately pitch your mask and put on a new one.
But the mask isn’t to protect you, it is to protect others, IF YOU ARE sick.
So of course, the President doesn’t have to wear a mask — he is tested every day, his contact with others is limited, there is zero chance he is spreading the virus. And he knows the mask doesn’t protect HIM — he has others around him who are not regularly tested wearing masks to protect him.
And you really don’t need a mask outdoors. IF you are sick enough that you could spread it outdoors, you shouldn’t be walking around to begin with. And there is hardly any outdoor spread of the virus.

This is funny because a few days ago, a well-known local physician was interviewed by a newspaper and expressed his gratitude for well-wishers who had supplied his office with homemade cloth masks, which they evidently wore.
Don’t start injecting logic into the argument.
Whether these masks “work” or not is beside the point, the point being that their mandated use is calculated to demoralize, frighten and humiliate those who are forced by decree to wear them. That’s the real issue. If your chief objection is that they don’t work, you might as well admit that you’d be all for them if they did.
Just shut up, and cover your face before your betters, citizen.

Also, we should wear a new blindfold and N95 mask, when we come home and then new ones to bed.
Finally, we should get our nourishment/fluids via IV's. It is just too dangerous to remove our masks to eat or drink fluids in our own homes or outside in the real world.\

A properly fitted and functioning N95 mask will filter out 95% or better of particles .3 microns and larger. The Covid19 virus is approx. .13 micron in size on average.

True makeshift cloth masks may stop the flying chunks if you sneeze, but given the size of the virus a cloth mask is about like putting up a chain link fence to keep out mosquitoes. The only place wearing masks might be effective is in stopping the social shaming Karen’s who equate anyone without a mask as a mass murderer.

Just a guess, but when it’s all said and done, I think the MAGA hats will be more popular than The Mask.
