Fine. Exercise your freedom not to frequent his place of business. The rest of us will get on with our lives. I've been patronizing my favorite local bar since they opened up in defiance of the county's illegal orders. Told the owner that if he's fined, I'll write him a check to cover it.
If I own a business, my job is profit optimization. If that is achieved by letting all my customers carry firearms, requiring the wearing of masks, and forced listening to 80s techno music, that's my prerogative. It's my property.
I was perfectly ok with grocery stores mandating the wearing of a mask - I still am, not because I think it'll stop infection but because that is the business's right. Further, if they're doing so because they believe it'll relieve some customer's stress then that's also their prerogative- just like shoppers who think only a wuss wears a mask and are vocal about it are free to go elsewhere. Indeed, the business probably thinks these Karens of a different variety are worth being lost.
The pendulum is swinging back to "normal" and businesses are free to adjust their practices. Any business owner who calls a bigly chunk of their possible customer base a vulgar term is free to do so...at his own peril. He's as stupid as was the owner of the Red Hen.

If they want to mandate this, turn it back on them. Assemble a team to stand outside the governor’s mansion wearing plague doctor costumes 24 x 7. Patronize liberal businesses while dressed like gangbangers with bandanas covering your faces. Get scary Halloween masks and ride the subways and public transit. Make the Karens pay a price for misusing government authority to drive away their fears.
I happen to think the masks are worthless and COVID-19 is primarily spread not by aerosolized droplets but by illicit intimate contact and Third World sanitation practices, just like SARS in 2003. Our public transportation, hospitals, and nursing homes have these things in abundance - the rest of society, not so much. The shutdowns were never justified, and continuing them is an act of criminal malfeasance by opposition politicians. Almost as if they have to loudly blame middle class Americans for spreading the virus to take attention off of all the Third-Worlders they have let in in recent decades..

CCP was deliberately importing contagious cases in January/February.
HK still did NOT crash and burn with CV contagion.
Same fundamentals as NYC. Densely crowded, extensive use of public transportation.
And yet, no CV meltdown.

Another thing there Gretchen, while you are waiting for your brown shirts to come back from the cleaners, go and pour yourself a large, frothy mug of moral superiority, find a nice comfy chair and read that pesky old US Constitution (and your state constitution too). So I bought two disposable masks at CVS for $4 dollars at the end of March.
I've been using the same "disposable" mask ever since, when I need to go into a grocery store or a liquor store, etc. The other mask is still shrink-wrapped in my glove compartment.
I'm hoping that I can stick with the one mask for this entire nonsense period. Then I can sell the other one on E-Bay.
