Allow all speech. Same rules should filters apply to conservatives and liberal comments...say what you want...profanity can be filtered. That’s it!
I see it this way...until there is a viable alternative that reaches the roughly same number of people, they should be forced to open up to all speech. Once there is viable competition, to we can regroup. Until then, they are the only game to get political speech out to the masses. We need a level playing field or get broken up. This is a deadly threat to our constitutional rights.
You quarantine the sick and the infected. You dont quarantine everybody in entire states, with most of them strong and perfectly healthy, and strip everybody of their inalienable God given rights to live as normal human beings, and put a dictators boot on their jugular veins.
It may be bad policy - but it, like many other bad policies, is not unconstitutional for states to enact.
Just joined myself. We really need a Trump family member on there.
I appreciate you trying to help me understand - I really do! Thanks.
That is very interesting. I had never heard of the Decency Act. Thanks for enlightening me - I appreciate it!
My M4 will bark if that’s the case. I am a constitutionalist.
The part about political viewpoints is the author's opinion and not addressed by the case he cites.
Do you wonder why, after all the complaints by conservatives over the last few years, there aren't a bunch of judgments against the tech's for political discrimination?
Do you think it may be because that discrimination isn't illegal?
True. What do you think explains the lack of successful challenges to the legality of the TOSs?
It's specifically Section 230 of the CDA that's relevant and you'll often see it referenced that way here.
Personally I want to get to the bottom of Joe Scarborough’s assault on his aide that caused her to smack her head on a desk.
“Joe Scarboroughs assault on his aide”
Uh huh. An assault that was carried out halfway across the country. Ridiculous. Making stupid arguments doesn’t look clever, it looks stupid.
It is actually. That's exactly what the case was about.
Do you wonder why, after all the complaints by conservatives over the last few years, there aren't a bunch of judgments against the tech’s for political discrimination?
They have 230 protection. Remove the 230 protection and see what happens to these social media monopolies in court. Twitter has made it really easy for Trump to crack down.
They shouldn't have “fact checked” an entirety correct tweet from President Trump with a bunch of lies and fake news from CNN and the Washington Post.
The facts are very easy to determine.
Libs did a job on GAB getting it shut down. So far they haven’t had any luck with Parler. A lot of big names moving to it too.
Then maybe Trump should demand the investigation be re-opened against that twit Scarborough. I’d like to get to the bottom of it.
I believe the fact that Twitter and Facebook are both publicly traded on the stock market makes a case for them behaving in a manner consistent with public needs where Constitutional Rights are concerned, specifically 'freedom of speech' and the CENSORSHIP thereof.
Good argument, see you in court! lol BTW, do you think the U.S. Military should still control the Internet?
The shoe is already on the other foot Sal, President is trying to fix it, wise up already.
The too big to work big govt....
He can demand all he wants nobody is going to re-open an investigation. He should be more worried about Covid-19 having killed thousands and thrown millions out of work.
