MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) An incident report by the Minneapolis Fire Department (MFD) is shedding more light on what occurred in George Floyds fatal arrest.
Released by the city Wednesday, the report describes confusion as the fire department responded to the scene to assist medical personnel.
Before arriving, the only information the fire crew had was that Floyd, called pt in the report, had trauma to his mouth. Fire Station 17 of Minneapolis then arrived at Cup Foods to multiple police squads on scene and a small crowd of citizens.
The report says while MFD attempted to locate Floyd, several people told them that the police had killed the man. There was no clear info on Floyds whereabouts from either initial police officers or bystanders.
The report says MFD was finally able to locate an officer inside the store, who told them that Hennepin Healthcare medics loaded Floyd into an ambulance and left the scene.
Meanwhile, the fire crew did locate an off-duty firefighter who witnessed the end of the struggle, and said that he saw Floyd go from struggling to unresponsive on the ground while handcuffed and subdued by police.
Dispatch then notified the fire crew that the medics needed assistance and they responded to 36th and Park Avenue.
Two of the fire crew members got into the ambulance. At that time, medics had a chest compression device working on an unresponsive, pulseless Floyd. The fire crew members assisted medics and accompanied them to Hennepin Healthcare, where life-saving attempts were continued.
Medics performed pulse checks several times, finding none, and delivered one shock by their monitor. [Floyds] condition did not change, the report said.
Floyd was pronounced dead at Hennepin Healthcare.
Floyd, 46, died Monday night after being pinned to the ground while handcuffed with an officers knee on his neck. Floyds fatal arrest, which was caught on video, has prompted national attention and protests some peaceful, some violent in Minneapolis.
WOW... these guys have a comeuppance coming there way.
Made me think of Quint’s description of a shark’s eyes.
“...lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll’s eyes.”
Aerial view of protests, youtube. For those who know Minneapolis, this is the 3rd precinct at Minnehaha and Lake St.

Dunno who Quint is, but sounds about right.
Quint was Robert Shaw’s character in Jaws.
From the movie “Jaws.” That was from his speech about the sinking of the USS Indianapolis and the survivor’s battle with the sharks.
Another stream - protests at cop’s homes, probably a language warning needed.

Thanks for the Quint, info. Saw “Jaws” when it came out, but I was half-drunk, heh.
Cold
Blooded
Murder.
Defiant and pride. Hes about to learn humility for the rest of his life.
The Asian cop isnt as weak as he looks in that video. His record shows plenty of thuggery.
Probably his hands were in his pockets because he was pleasuring himself while he watched the guy die.
He was cuffed before he was placed on the ground. While he did “resist” being pulled out and cuffed, it was passive resistance. He wasn’t violent, and didn’t appear to strike or grab either the officer who cuffed him or the 2nd officer who assisted.
Video of Officer Chauvin pulling Floyd from his car and cuffing him:

I'd be OK with that, as long as he doesn't have anyone else not involved in this murder with him.
Im surprised hes home. This protest was planned in advance for 4 pm today. Any normal person would have left their house.
But, but...he resisted.
His mother that he was calling out to had passed away 2 years ago. He knew he was dying.
You are likely correct.
I would guess that 20% of all cops are total psychos with some form of Asperger syndrome or autism. Many of them are complete control freaks. It is very hard to weed them out.
Many of them join the police force just for the sheer mental gratification of thinking they can become the next Rambo. You see it all the time, just by the way they get out of their cars, walking like Elvis Presley.
I would bet this Chauvin guy has a history of police brutality, most of it undocumented. He needs to pay dearly. I say make an example of him like they did to Eddie Slovik. He deserves nothing less than the death penalty.
