ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) Rochester Police Officers say they cleared out Ontario Beach Park Monday night after fights broke out.
RPD says the first fight broke out at around 8 p.m. on the pier. The captain at the scene said a command post was already set up, because incidents like this seem to happen at the park every Memorial Day weekend.

Rochester was a great city when I was a kid. That's a VERY long time ago.
As I recall Jack Benny’s Rochester was born in Syracuse. But those were the days.
The Ridge-Culver Regal Cinemas in Irondequoit was shut down late Friday night after police from multiple departments responded to a fight that spilled over from inside the theater and out into the street, reportedly involving up to 500 people.

It's much safer and quieter living in the town next to the town "Where life is worth living."
Rochester was born in California.
Not in the skit where jack asks him where he was born.
Sorry...he was born in Ca in 1905.
Jack asks Rochester, were you born in Rochester?
Rochester says, no sir M. Benny I was born in Syracuse.
Jack says, so how come your parents didn’t name you Syracuse. Rochester says, Oh come on Mr. Benny, everybody knows Syracuse is a girls name.
Webster
That’s the motto of a town on the other side of the bay.
I knew a women who didn’t sell and move in time... got stuck in a high crime neighborhood. Luckily her sons had enough money to get her out and dump what had become a worthless house... Seeing the truth is not a form of racism.
Thanks, but I knew that. The town was worth living in if you liked lousy water.
Webster has switched over to Monroe County Water and those wells have all been shut down. It took a change of administration to get it done.
