MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) The FBI has been called to investigate after a man died Monday night in south Minneapolis after an encounter with police.
In a statement early Tuesday, police described what happened as a medical incident. However, a video posted on social media shows an officer kneeing a mans neck to the ground for several minutes. Before he goes unconscious, the man, who is black, repeatedly tells officers he cant breathe.
At a press conference Tuesday morning, Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey alluded to the graphic footage, saying: I believe what I saw, and what I saw was wrong at every level.

This cop was GD incompetent and so were his idiot buddies (who should all be fired) standing around with their thumbs up their asses while this happened.
I am going to take this a step further. I don’t see how this is any different than some welfare queen mom sitting on her azz while her idiot boyfriend beats up her kid. She should go to jail, and they should all go to jail.
By the way, if you read some of the stories on this, it sounds like there were on lookers trying to rescue they guy, but the other officers kept them away.
Second degree murder is an action inherently dangerous to human life like firing a gun in a store. Or kneeling on a Neck When the person cant breathe.
These cops are going down. Firing is the least of their problems.
Excessive force vitiates resisting arrest. In simple terms the law says a resisting arrest case fails if excessive force is used.
You can take some comfort in knowing that no matter how old, blind, and sausage fingered you become, Otto will always be by your side
More like seeing how corrupt they always have been, with the prevalence of cameras everywhere.
No, a cop killing someone for no reason.
If more people carried concealed, we wouldn't need so many jack-booted thugs.
If not LE, possibly a cop apologist - they can do no wrong.
Well then - the cop broke the law. It's NOT his job to be judge jury and executioner... The cop's job is to bring the person to the place justice is suppose the happen. Deliver the person to the Court System... If the death was intentional then the cop is a criminal.
Actually, that is not accurate. We all hear about the wall of silence, etc in todays hit movies. But thats just drama.
The ratio is that cops are about 50 times more likely to find and punish wrongdoing in their own ranks than doctors or attorneys
Sorry, I don’t believe that for a second.
Why don’t you go grab a video camera and go video some random police station on public property? They will try to stop you. How about if you film them doing a traffic stop? Again, they will do everything within their power to stop you. Go try it.
The police have silently turned into thugs that have no concern for our 1st. ammendment, 4th ammendment, or 5th ammendment. And many here, just don’t care. Just look at things that have transpired in the last few weeks? Why did Dallas police arrest a salon owner? This is insane. How about the cops that showed up to a womans home because her child had been caught playing with a neighbors child.
These silly lockdown rules in Dem states wouldn’t even be possible if the cops just honored their oath. Judges and politico’s aren’t going to be off doing citizen arrests now are they? Most all the respect I used to have for them has gone. They need a major overhaul to try to regain the trust of everyday Americans.
And lastly, yes we need to film them. We need to film every damn thing they do. THAT is our Constitutional right.
When they do, they don't help you.
Sod off, vermin.
Watch the video. This was murder straight up.
iBTZ. Watch the video.
Yes, you are, and this forum is much the worse off for your very presence.
Are you sure you want to go there? (Think of the oddball "consent decrees" under 0moeba with left-wing groups suing the EPA and getting things dropped in return for a large sum of $$$; imagine something similar, but with Sharia Law.)
No funny cutaways. The cop never budges from his neck the whole time.
All four cops should already be in lockup without bail on suspicion of murder; they should be personally liable for any damages (deprivation of civil rights under colour of law); and their home addresses should be published on social media.
Pull your head out of your ass.
What exactly is general police procedure for take down during an arrest with initial resistance?
I know it isn’t keeping the knee on neck the whole freaking time. That’s to get him to stop resisting. Once that happens, you pull them up. Right?
I HATE COPS
When having a gun just isn’t enough ...
