I read your VERY fascinating home page. On this Memorial Day, allow me to thank you for your U.S. Navy service to our country. My thanks and honor is also extended to your late father, a Naval Commander. His photo on your home page is so inspirational....and he was a fine-looking man, to boot !
BTW, Phyllis Schlafly was a good friend of mine. We hit the front doors in Illinois together many times during the ERA fight. I was privileged to meet up with her again after many decades when....there she was!.....in a hotel FR cocktail party preceding one of Free Republic's Washington DC banquets! I was thrilled to death to see her again. She's long gone now, but I think of her all the time. Thanks for your tribute to her on your home page.

I miss him. One of the finest, if not the finest man I have ever known, and he was my father.
But I so envy you your friendship with Phyllis Schlafly. I would so have loved to meet her and shake her hand. I only recently within the past few years read her book "An Choice, Not an Echo", and it left a real impression on me. Such an accomplished and humble woman, and the Left hates her so, which makes me think she is even more remarkable than is registering with me.
I admire her so. You are very lucky.
