My husband and I met him at Free Republics First gathering. He is a great man.
I ask in Jesus name, please heal Lt. Col. West.
We need him here.
BTTP
Latest from his official website - sounds like he’s going to recover from fractures and a concussion. He’s a good man. God bless his recovery.

Garland, TX, May 24, 2020 On his drive back from the Free Texas Rally in Austin, TX, Lt. Col. Allen West was involved in an accident when a car cut in front of him. He is recovering, in stable condition, and has his family with him.
Local law enforcement reported that an unidentified vehicle changed lanes when unsafe in front of two motorcyclists. The motorcyclist attempted to brake, and the rear motorcyclist crashed into the front motorcyclist. Both motorcyclists were transported to Baylor Scott and White in Waco to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Allen West is currently dealing with a concussion, several fractured bones, and multiple lacerations. Though these injuries are serious, Lt. Col. West stated, I am alive by the grace of God.
He plans to continue to be a proponent for freedom and the state of Texas, and will resume his normal calendar of activities as given clearance by his medical team.
LTC West thanks the public for their well-wishes and outpouring of support, and continued prayers on his behalf are appreciated.
Ooooo.... I’m so crushed (sniff)
;^)
Thank you for the update.
“Motorcycles are just dangerous...”
And so is living in most areas of Chicago.
Thanks for the update and the good news.
Some even better news:
Team West update (from twitter):
LTC West is resting and in stable condition. We anticipate him being released tomorrow and heading home. Thank you for your prayers and support. He will be taking a week off to recoup and looks forward to seeing you all again soon. #PrayersForAllen
“In my motorcycle days, I had more than one incident where a car deliberately swerved at me.”
Doing that shiite in Texas is liable to get you shot.
Knew a guy who got clipped by a PU in Bell County. His bike went down along with himself. Tore the bike up pretty good as well as bloodied up the rider.
The PU tried to jet while the rider was still down. Noticing this and with blood running down in one eye, the rider pulled his Judge and fired off a few rounds. This got the attention of the PU driver who promply stopped his vehicle.
About that time, the local PD showed up and with gun drawn commanded the rider to drop the gun. PD inquired as to why the rider shot at the PU driver. Rider stated that PU driver was attempting to flee the scene and wasn’t going to abide that.
PU driver was arrested, rider was taken to hospital, bike was hauled off for repairs. Guy still rides and is a 3%’r.
Would not hesitate to have this dude covering my six.
“Friend of mine broke bones after an encounter with a wasp.”
Reminds me of the story The Squirrel Grenade.
When I lived in NJ a motorcyclist was following a car on I-80 when the car hit a black bear which then flew over the car and landed on the biker. He was hospitalized but was okay. I always wondered what he thought when he saw a bear coming in airborne

My accident was when two pieces of 4x8 plywood flew off a pu that was entering the interstate. I was in front with buddy behind.
One hit fork of other bike. He went down and his bike knocked mine down. Only some soreness and road rash.
Re Squirrel Grenade. Looked it up. Great story! Hope it isn’t true!
How long was the bear in the hospital??

Let’s try again
I am sorry to read this and will pray for Cong. West.
I don’t know what caused the accident but will say that motorcycles can be really hard to see.
