The storm is about to move into the Devol area. I was able to get Gizmo to go to the bathroom. He didn’t want to stay out very long. Thundering and lightning right now.

Kathy, it's been brought to my attention that the song I posted here in "post #19" (in red, white, and blue), may not be displaying the same (or at all) on the devices other people are using, like it's displaying for me here on my computer, so I thought I'd take one more shot at it. (It is a slightly different kind of rendition of this patriotic song, which I didn't see posted here already, so I wanted to share the link with everybody here.) Here goes:

MEMORIAL DAY 2020 Honor and Remember our Fallen!
"IN FLANDERS FIELDS" (Click) In Flanders fields the poppies blow Between the crosses, row on row, That mark our place; and in the sky The larks, still bravely singing, fly Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, Loved and were loved, and now we lie, In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe: To you from failing hands we throw The torch; be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die We shall not sleep, though poppies grow In Flanders fields.
Lt. Col. John McCrea Canadian Expeditionary Force 3 May 1915
KEEP FAITH WITH OUR FALLEN!

I thought it might be a good reminder that sometimes the most deadly enemy our fighters face is those standing behind him in the chain of command.
Our military has gotten away from leadership over the decades and gone toward “management”.
Leaders can manage but managers cant lead.
