Former White House strategist Karl Rove pushed back Friday at reports that said he is advising the Trump campaign, but said he does give “unvarnished advice” to Trump's campaign when it contacts him.
Rove sad he is friends with Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale, and that Parscale calls him from time to time.
“Well first of all, don’t believe everything you read in the press," Rove said in an interview with Fox News Radio's "The Guy Benson Show" on Friday.
Robe said he likes Parscale and "I consider him a friend, I’ve become quite a fan."
"I think he’s got a sharp mind and great instincts, and he’s actually called and asked, having been through this drill trying to reelect a president myself, he’s kind enough to call and occasionally say ‘what do you think about this’ or ‘should I be worried about that,'" said Rove, who was considered the master strategist for former President George W. Bush's campaigns.
"The idea that I’m somehow deeply engrained in the Trump campaign…I’ve got a busy life with Fox and Wall Street Journal and speeches,” added Rove, a political contributor to Fox News and a columnist for the Journal.
When Benson asked if it would be fair to say he was "occasionally informally advising the Trump campaign,” Robe responded: “I think that’s even too far."
"Occasionally he’s even kind enough to call me and say ‘what do you think about this’ so and I’m happy to give him my unvarnished advice and he can do with it what he will,” he added.

It's really not a different game. It's the same game, only more vicious. The left HATED Bush. The media hated Bush. Hollywood hated Bush (remember Fahrenheit 911?). Academia hated Bush. It's really the same game. The left just hates more and is more vicious.

If the MSM suspects that someone might be helping the Trump campaign, they will "out" that person in the hopes of shaming them into backing off.
In Rove's case, the MSM likely thinks that outing Rove would get him suspended by Fox News for the duration of the campaign, making it financially untenable for Rove to continue working with Trump.

Bush got dragged across the finish line in spite of Karl Rove's strategy. The Swift Boat Vets were the ones who called Kerry out. Others hit him with the "flip flops."
Rove gave advice to Jeb Bush.

Look, I’m not here to defend Rove. I sure don’t want him running Trump’s campaign. But I’m not about to say that, since he’s Karl Rove he has NOTHING to offer of value.
If Rove is back and he / Parscale are great friends TRUMP is RUMP - he needs Kelly Anne back in the Campaign drivers seat or the re-election with the dems cheating is in the bag for the dems and TRUMP is TOAST!
Never though Parscale had a handle on this all along and this just proves TRUMP has been too distracted on running the country! No one has been minding the re-election store - AT ALL!
Getting late too with all the potential fraud coming - he needs omeone as point person on the lawyer front in each state too! Named NOW too!!!

Especially 2004. Bush did not have the gonads to attack John F. Kerry and had to rely on the Swift Boat guys to help him over the finish line winning by only 2.5%.

in baseball speak ‘whiffed’ is strike out (or was)
Ted Williams had 7706 ABs and struck out 709 times which doesn’t really make it 60%
Like I say, not really trying to be anal but when the Umpire told the pitcher and catcher that when ‘they’ get around to throwing a strike, Mr Williams would let them know.
