“Women and minorities suffer the worst.”
And ‘the children’, don’t forget the children.
Damn straight !
“Why do they rich covet so much?”
What a joke. I only covet my own money, that which I make legally. I do not covet anyone else’s money or think I have any right to it at all.
I do not believe anyone else has to feed my kids, pay for the roof over our heads, or pay for my families medical care.
I think that those who do believe that others own them these things should be living under a bridge until they figure out how to take care of them selves and the kids they chose to have.
I am a double dipper, I have two federal retirements because I have worked my ass off and completed two federal careers. We have also done without things and made good investments along the way.
Now someone who is too damn lazy to get off their ass and work wants to cry about what we have accumulated.
Screw off and enjoy your bridge and the soup kitchen.
Interesting that one of the report’s authors is listed as the Marxist Institute for Policy Studies (IPS - See S. Steven Powell’s book “Covert Cadre: Inside the Institute for Policy Studies”, Evergreen, 1987, for details on how Marxist/leftist millionaires and foundations literally funded the creation of IPS. Do I detect some leftist hypocrisy here? Oh no, they couldn’t be hypocrites, could they?).
Look Ma, I’m immortalized!
yes, they are really just reporting on Amazon and FB (which just went positive due to FB shops) , very misleading
I am investing in high end refrigeration products and expensive ice cream. I hope to make millions off Pelosi the Putrid.
I find anyone who feels they deserve more in life actually doesn’t want to work for it or they have no social manners to make and keep friends that can help them. . they just “feel” they deserve it. My own father voted for obam on the presumption what’s his face -the romster , “Had millions” in offshore accounts. and was hiding money from u.s. taxes. Iow.. You are not alone in seeing that there are a few freepers here that feel the same entitlement to someone else’s luck, hard work or thievery.
This is probably a very unpopular opinion around here, but this is why we absolutely need a wealth tax instead of an income tax!
********
Youre right. I doubt that a wealth tax would be popular at this forum. And, I doubt that it would be popular with you if you would really think it through.
YOU have freedom in this country to get rich. Only thing which can stop you from becoming rich is lack of brain power in your brain and lack of hard work. Both are needed to get rich.
Just because you don’t have the brains to become rich, you are to be pitied for being a small person full of jealousy.
Thank you for proving my point.
You sanctimonious arrogant fool.
“Thank you for proving my point.
You sanctimonious arrogant fool.”
To the lazy and irresponsible hypocrites.
I was born on a reservation and left the day I turned 18 with a $20 bill in one pocket and a bus ticket to the US ARMY induction center in the other. The poverty I was born into does not get any worse in this country.
I am now financially secure and do what I want when I want due to almost 50 years of busting my butt and taking care of business.
So, I am pure native American, a minority, have achieved a masters degree, retired from the army, and then had a 20+ year career with another government agency.
If I can do it what is holding you back from accomplishing your independence from the government teat.
I would reply that those who don’t succeed are lazy hypocritical morons who blame others for their bad choices and refuse to be responsible for themselves.
Enjoy your bridge.
Not sure, but maybe payoff national debt. I for one would prefer a flat sales tax, no loopholes. That truly is a fair tax. But I’m so sick of Buffet talking about his secretary pays more in income tax, tax his wealth. I’m sick of Gates and others using their wealth to manipulate and destroy small businesses and trying to control our lives. Tax them penniless.
Why are you so very angry? I asked a general question why do the rich covet & you write a book trying to justify your existence. I don’t care about you. Just shut up & be grateful for what you have you arrogant fool.
But thanks for proving my point, again.
I have always appreciated that Americans have more opportunity than people in any other nation, even brand new immigrants. Nobody stamps a color code symbol on your head condemning you to a low caste for life. Nobody says you have to do the job your father did without choice, or says you can’t marry above your station because you are not royalty.
Yes, everybody has the opportunity to get rich with enough drive and hard work. Not an equal opportunity, but there is nothing inherent in society holding anyone back from attempting to get rich. You are generally limited by your work ethic and your IQ, although some people of very low IQ do get lucky and get rich because they are freakish athletes, freakishly beautiful, or have someother inherently valuable quality built into the DNA they inherited from their parents.
It doesn’t change the fact that the nation is of, by, and for the rich. If I had focused on getting rich and succeeding in doing so, then I would be one of the ones the nation is of, by, and for.
My point is that we do not have a clean Republican form of government like so many peope believe or want to believe. There is always a very tiny power structure atop a nation, always working behind the scenes unless they are Dictators, as China has. The idea that “we the people” control the democracy in America is cute, but completely false. The rich and powerful do whatever they want, while throwing us a few bones now and again to keep us from rebellion.
America has always been that way, and their isn’t a nation on earth that was more fair to the populace than the one the Founders gave us. To their credit, the Founders gave us a bigger bone than any people of any previous nation had enjoyed. Now, 240 years later, our leaders have tripped that bone down to shards with overtaxation, over-regulation, surveillance, and laws out our ass until you can’t help but break one law trying to follow another.
I am not angry just telling you bluntly that I am entitled to what I earn legally and you should never believe that you are entitled to anything you do not earn yourself.
Pretty simple. Makers v Takers.
I am also entitled to say where my assets go when I die, they go to my children not someone else.
