President Donald Trump said Thursday in Michigan that he would not close the country if it was hit by a second wave of the coronavirus.
“We are going to put out the fires. We’re not going to close the country,” Trump said. “We can put out the fires. Whether it is an ember or a flame, we are going to put it out. But we are not closing our country.”
The president spoke during a tour of a Ford factory that was manufacturing ventilators, as he continues pushing for the country to reopen after the coronavirus-fueled shutdowns.
“We did the right thing, but now it is time to open it up,” he said. “A never-ending lockdown would invite a public health calamity. To protect the health of our people, we must have a functioning economy.”
Earlier in the day, Trump said that some Democrat governors were not reopening their states fast enough.
“You have a lot of, unfortunately in this case, Democrat governors, I think they think it’s great politics to keep it closed, but what are they doing, they’re hurting themselves, I don’t think it is good politics … they’re hurting themselves, they’re hurting their state, and it’s not good,” Trump said, and added, “You’ll break the country if you don’t.”

Good to see Trump wasn’t wearing a mask and defying Governor Whitless on his tour today. Look at the Ford exec’s in the article’s lead picture. A picture is worth a thousand words, or in this case just one comes to mind. That word does not apply to Trump.

Perhaps, if it does happen he won’t accept the council of the Global Socialists who have been on the Federal Payroll for their entire lives.
Exactly! But you know it would be hard to shut down something that is already shut down.
Absolutly no need to now.
We know exactly how to treat it and how to act around it.
If it flares up some where we now know what to do.
If some prog Governor trys to crash their state they should have a fed $$$ immediately cut.
Local PDs need to know they can not violate the Constitution because of this so some of the Chiefs will probably need to be arrested by feds.
It is past time to sink some teeth into a few progs so they figure out they are not allowed to be little Hitlers and Mussolinis.

Nearly every single blue state administration has gone full rogue.
Hopefully, this will open the eyes of the moderate, if there are any, democrats and independents within those states.
Specifically NY, PA, MI, ILL, CA, NJ..etc.
I think it was mostly shut to begin with because there was a lack of information and people really didn’t know what to expect. We’ve learned some since March, mostly the hard way.
It is critical to get the Little Hitler Governors out of office.
