A team at Imperial College London looked at 2.4million Britons, of which 11 per cent reported smoking.

All participants were users of the COVID Symptom Study app, which asks people to regularly report their health and if they have symptoms of the coronavirus, helping to build a clearer picture of the UK's outbreak.

Did the study have a centerfold or an NC-17 rating?

I read about a study done in China in early March: This virus attacks the lungs vigorously - as far as China is concerned, 51% or 52% of the males smoke cigarettes and only 3% of females in China smoke cigarettes. That was a study done there as to why so many more males than females died.

But not if the smoker wears a mask when he smokes.

That’s cause you can’t wear a mask and smoke at the same time...

(Unless you poke a little hole in the mask)

There is a little bit of evidence that nicotine may help prevent COVID, not smoking but nicotine as in a patch or gum. Probably less chance than Ivomectin (de-wormer)working but it’s there.

Kudos to you. Little totalitarians exist everywhere, even on FR. When I smoked, I was in an elevator and a man said “you smoke, I can smell the stink!” I replied yes, and you had a bowel movement this morning. He shut up.

Life style of smokers may be a factor as well. It ain’t all just the smoking. It is an excuse for the virtue signaling do-gooding busy bodies to say “see?”

But experts have already stated that nicotine prevents infection/kills the covid-19 virus.

Must be a case of Thursday’s experts out expert other day’s experts.
