House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said Wednesday that she called President Donald Trump “morbidly obese” because he's put down women for their weight. And besides, she suggested, the president could lose a few pounds himself as the coronavirus bears down on the nation's capital.
“I gave him a dose of his own medicine. He’s called women one thing or another over time, and I thought he thinks that passes off as humor in certain cultures," Pelosi told reporters at her weekly press conference. "I was only quoting what doctors had said about him, so I was being factual in a very sympathetic way.”
For the record, the president is obese, but not morbidly so. Pelosi on Monday called Trump “morbidly obese.” He responded by dismissing her as “a waste of time.”
Pelosi's level of sympathy is unclear. Even as the virus ravages Americans and the U.S. economy, the two are barely speaking to each other.
They have sparred since the beginning of the Trump presidency and more sharply since Pelosi ascended to the speakership in 2019, for the second time. The topics have ranged from the historic — a government shutdown and Trump's impeachment — to playground-quality name-calling and who has the last word.
But really, it's always been about who has more power, a commodity never more critical than during a pandemic that has killed more than 92,000 in the U.S. and left more than 36 million people looking for work. The spread of the coronavirus, which poses a greater risk of death for older adults and people with health problems, is still significant in Washington. Trump, 73, and Pelosi, 80, are working from opposite ends of Pennsylvania Avenue on what's expected to be another multitrillion-dollar rescue package.

It’s probably beside the point, but the BMI tables are not useful for evaluating an individual. The BMI was created to compare nations and other large groupings of people. That way, all the other factors average out.
Trump is 6’2” tall, and the BMI is biased against taller people. The weight of a symmetrical object goes up as the cube of the increase in dimensions. The BMI scale uses the height squared in its formula. People aren’t symmetrical objects. If you split the difference and use a power of 2.5, you get different results.
A 6’2” 240 lb. man has a BMI of 30.9 — just over the line for obesity.
If you use 2.5 in the formula, you get 29.4, — just under the line for obesity. Since the line for obesity should be based on how well it predicts health; the 2.5 figure is more accurate for tall people.

The left has tried to place blame on Trump for everything they can, and in many cases, anything that does or doesn’t exist.
She makes obesity to sound like a fault. So it can’t be considered a contributed to medical condition in her eyes and that makes her uneducated and she is profiling with that determination. She has been on the forefront of protecting illegal aliens in California to the point of openly defying the arrest of them by federal means for deportation by supporting sanctuary cities.
In a study done by the AP in 2019, hardly a conservative mouthpiece, they found that nearly 3 percent of illegal immigrants in Arizona end up in state prison or jail during the course of a year, four times the rate of U.S. citizens and legal residents. In New Jersey, illegal immigrants are incarcerated five times more often, and rates on the West Coast are triple that of legal residents and citizens, according to the study by the Federation for American Immigration Reform. And she backs their protection?

One of the problems with our society is our acceptance of false vanity. And her “oh yeah” on Trump’s physical appearance is a perfect example of her petty and destructive thought process she uses to get what she wants no matter who it hurts or how serious it is. She should be going after a bigger fish than Trumps appearance. And I can promise you she has no idea of the medical ramifications on Trump’s weight and fitness. By my observations, Trump has always been - shall we say less than delicate with his tongue. Could be his background, a learned habit or anything - the man made himself a billionaire with his lexicon. When Pelosi tries to use a similar way of communication it simply seems hateful and reactive.

He is a showman, which means it’s not all about him—but 50-50 with his audience. He’s all about how others perceive him.

It's more a matter of body-mass index. A BMI over 40 is considered morbidly obese. With Trump's reported height and weight then his BMI would be considerably less than that and no reputable doctor would classify him as morbidly obese.
Pelosi should save her sympathy for Stacey Abrams. Truly a diabetes case waiting to happen.
