We need to proactively reach out to these companies that are allowing this behavior and tell them it is NOT acceptable. I just left a message for the CFO of Costco and I highly recommend you all do the same.
The forcing of masks on us like we're sheep is completely unacceptable and if we don't step to the plate and push back on this they won't stop.
Then you know those masks are not going to stop a virus unless their are airtight. The weave is far too large to stop a virus let alone the air that goes around them is like the grand canyon to a germ.
Keep spewing your fake science. You probably believe in evolution too.
I've seen less expensive ones. The link was simply to the first example of the tech I found, and was for illustrative purposes only.
But the point is that only a tiny minority would ever need a PP mask. Most can do quite well with a non-PP mask. And on my wife's last grocery shopping trip, our local HEB store had, IN STOCK, both disposable and reusable masks, so apparently AMERICAN production has caught up with the lag.
The experimental data show otherwise. The study I linked to with the 96% rate was specifically designed to account for the "leaky mask effect". When you read that article, you must had missed that detail.
NO emitted particles are either bare "germs" or bare virus particles...they are contained in aqueous liquid drops. It is those drops that the masks effect. Another of the links covers this in depth.
Proximity and situation are what guide whether or not I wear a mask. The vast majority of masks are worn incorrectly and provide absolutely NO protection of any kind for anyone. In fact, because the wearer has a false sense of security, the mask can often cause more harm than good.
The vast majority of people will gain ZERO benefit wearing a mask. Of ANY type. They do look like obedient little sheep, though, all virtue-signaling and scared.
None of our big box stores have them and I would certainly like to have them for painting and woodworking, etc... Most of the disposable dust masks are woefully inadequate for preventing dust entering the airway.
I just want a damned respirator and some cartridges for regular home maintenance and I can’t get them because everyone is still in panic mode and doesn’t understand what they really need.
No, How about you get on the Constitutional bandwagon and deal with the fact they have that right but they are NOT free from criticism? How about you try that because that is what most if not all of us want.
NO ONE HERE IS:
Approving of their behavior
Saying you should just conform
Demanding others to acquiesce to it
Agrees that is right
In the case of such large places like Google the only real pathway to controlling them is under Anti-Trust action and breaking them up like they did Ma Bell in the late 70’s.
And the fix for that problem is to educate them in the correct techniques, not to bad-mouth masks. For instance, post a link to a YouTube video that demonstrates correct technique.
Well, as my wife's experience shows, production WILL eventually overcome the lag. I mean, heck, there is even toilet paper on the shelves now..........so it is happenin'
Go stick your head where the sun doesn’t shine. No body asked you.
If you dont like it go somewhere else. You are behaving in a tyrannical (your word) manner by demanding others conform to what you want.
Hi certainly agree.
Apologies for the much delayed reply.
I really don't remember that being said, although they may have. However, if the virus spreads primarily by airborne droplets, which seems to be the latest theory, masks would definitely help.
Let me preface the next paragraph with this: I'm in Texas, and masks have always been recommended, not mandatory. I can understand a different viewpoint from those in more totalitarian states.
I don't see it as tyranny or a huge imposition to wear a mask inside a store or where there will be people gathered. In my opinion, it is respectful to others and their health. And I am in a higher risk group, so it is a protection to me.
I don't get in people's face about not wearing masks, and I haven't had anyone get in mine for wearing it.
But now, spreading the virus by passing gas? I think the "experts" are reaching a bit too far now.
