Michigan Has Thousands of Crumbling Dams Pose Dangers

"Michigan has thousands of aging and under-maintained dams that could pose localized risks.
The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality tells the Detroit Free Press that all but six of the state's 88 potential high-hazard dams are approaching 50 years old, the average engineered life span for a dam.
The American Society of Civil Engineers gave Michigan a D grade on the condition of its dams in 2009, saying more than 90 percent of the state's nearly 2,600 dams would reach or exceed their design life by 2020."

Michigan dams crumbling like Gretchen Whitmer's V.P. desires.
Wisconsin still has a rather huge infrastructure problem, as well.
Governor ‘Diamond Jim’ Doyle (D, WI) raided our Transportation Fund to the tune of $1.2 BILLION and GAVE IT to the school system at the request of his Union Goon Handlers.
We’ve never recovered.
“Since taking office in 2003, Democratic Gov. Jim Doyle has taken $1.2 billion from the transportation fund to pay for schools and provide aid to local governments. Legislators from both parties grumbled about the transfers but signed off on many of them.
The state borrowed about $800 million to make up for the loss, but the transportation fund faced a net drop of $434 million, according to the Legislative Fiscal Bureau.
The state’s transportation fund is financed primarily from the state’s gas tax, vehicle registration fees and federal aid.”
