Five sailors on the U.S. aircraft carrier sidelined in Guam due to a COVID-19 outbreak have tested positive for the virus for the second time and have been taken off the ship, according to the Navy.
The resurgence of the virus in the five sailors on the USS Theodore Roosevelt underscores the befuddling behavior of the highly contagious virus and raises questions about how troops that test positive can be reintegrated into the military, particularly on ships.
All five sailors had previously tested positive and had gone through at least two weeks of isolation. As part of the process, they all had to test negative twice in a row, with the tests separated by at least a day or two before they were allowed to go back to the ship.

Sounds like this crap can hide, as to be almost undetectable, but not gone. Like a period of time where the body is winning the battle, but not quite. We need to know what the outside time frame is for a true negative.
Or, maybe this shit never really goes away. It just gets suppressed until you have another period of immune weakness (Like Shingles, only more deadly).

They also write the Newspeak “Style-book” That most in the media follow.
How bout this theory: Your COVID test has false positives (or possibly false negatives)? How reliable is the test? And since this viral infection has subtle symptons, your relying on the test to tell you things that aren’t obvious.
Maybe it’s like Herpes virus. Once you get it, you have it forever.
I wouldn’t be surprised to find that this sucker hides out in your body setting little inflammation fires everywhere until it gets a winner and is able to re-emerge. I got sick with something mid-March that lasted a few weeks, and it sucks because since that time I have to sit on my butt and very slowly heal. If I overdo it (behave like a normal person) I get set back. Stress is the enemy with this as is anything that causes inflammation.
It’s not befuddling. All tests have a certain rate of false negatives and false positives, particularly tests that have been around less than 3 months.

It’s not only 5 people. This has been happening from the beginning all over the world. One of the Israeli people from the cruise ship that was quarantined in Japan tested negative to get back into his country only later to test positive.
It is still unclear if it is due to faulty tests, leftover virus that causes no harm, reemergence like herpes, etc.
There is Texags Dr who thinks his patient is well on the other side of the disease and fine to go to a nursing home but he can’t get two negative tests in a row. Meanwhile she is at risk in numerous ways while languishing in the hospital.
And before you start claiming that the people are fine after they recover..there are two people right here that aren’t. One with permanent eye damage and another with lung damage and trouble breathing.
No one knows how their body will respond.
Texags Drs are indicating there is frequently damage that may be long term and necessitate many visits down the road. Others may recover just fine. But they dont know what kind of internal mess happened to them and whether it could have damaged the heart and the vascular system.
It’s a bitch of a disease and you better hope you dont get it until it mutates some more.
